lord of travelling![]()
WhatBron: David, why are you calling my house this time of night, didn't I tell you to go through my in' agent?
$tern: Yessir, Lebr-ImeanKingJames, but it is an urgent matter. Permission to speak freely, please?
Bron: Hurry the up, "commish"
$tern: Why yes sir...My slave , $tu Jackson, brought it to my attention that you were having thoughts of going to Europe if we didn't implement policy to make the crab-dribble legal? I think it's a great basketball maneuver, by the way, sir.
Bron: Yeh, whatever. Ya told you right. Make that legal by one week after the Finals or I'ma crab-dribble my black ass all the way to Yugoslovakia or Czechoslavia or whatever them s are called, got it?
$tern: Uh yes right aw-(CLICK!!!)...way, sir...right away.Jemes wants,
James gets.
The NBA should change its name to the NLA
The National Lebron Association - where Lebron happens.
If there is another player I make a magical injury thread about, it would def. be Lebron. This y needs to STFU.
What exactly is the 'crab dribble'? Is that where you hold the ball in one hand briefly then start running before dribbling again?
I hate traveling...one time the NBA was showing a ridiculous move by CP3.....and it was FIVE steps without one dribble.....FIVE !
And he got the bucket and the foul.......I was like...WTF????
DD
I don't know what the is a crab dribble. but whatever Lebron does, yeah, it's a travel
I liked when someone asked Caron Butler what a crab dribble is, and he explained it by saying "a crab dribble is when you travel."
Jalen Rose explains the crab dribble:

Don't matter. The crab dribble needs no explanation. Lebron looked stupid as tryin' to explain that bull . you walked, period. Stop that.
lol @ laker fans complaining about a team or playing getting special treatment from Stern.
I could care less... Bron can crab dribble all he wants... We'd still be 2-0 vs. the Cavs this season.
announcers didnt even mention once..out of like 7 replays where he injured his knee on Hill that he took 3 steps. =P
I don't get what's wrong with the rules as written. I don't agree that they are being called differently than they are written. The rule says that you can take one step to finish your dribble, and one step shoot or pass. That's two steps when you do both,
When you are shooting a layup, you take advantage of this rule. You pick up the dribble as you plant your left foot (assuming you are shooting right-handed off your left foot). You step with your right (that's the one step you are allowed after you stop dribbling). You step with your left (that's the step you are allowed to shoot or pass). Then you jump and shoot.
What you CANNOT do is pick up your dribble THEN take two steps. Which is exactly what LeBron did in the "crab dribble" video clip you can see by clicking the link in the referenced story.
The "crab dribble" is nothing but dribbing while in a crouched, bent-over stance, so you look kind of like a crab. It has nothing to do with traveling, or not. it's what you do when you have a defender on your back to protect the ball from being swiped from behind.
There's also the jump stop which is ALSO in the rules but that's a more advanced topic, for another time.
Why would they want to add yet another full step to the rules? That would make basketball ridiculously easy for the offense.
And why are they complaining the Euro rules are different? They're not. The Euro players have just figured out how to take better advantage, by making the first step very long, and by changing directions between the first and second steps. Watch Manu Ginobili in slo-mo sometime. He does it legal but it kind of smells like traveling because his steps are long and slow.
Mother er already travels 70% of the time and doesnt get called for it. Its a simple rule and so easy to call, the NBA for caving into Lebron
LOL, looking at the lebron block video from the top I see Richardson's hands getting deflected more than the ball... The ball actually hovers where it was supposed to be briefly, not even close to a block.
"That would be good, I could get my move back," James said
Apparently he wants his "move" back. At this point, the only move missing from his game is picking the ball up and crab sprinting down the court.
Lebron's comments are pathetic and a joke. Traveling is traveling. Just stop traveling Lebron. It's that simple.
I wasn't aware cradling the ball and driving at the hoop was "Lebron's move".....I always thought it was "running with a basketball in your hands".
