To me, MVP is about which player has the most positive impact on a game, not who's team has the best record. If a player somehow got a team full of d-leaguers to the 6th-8th seed, I would make a strong case for him being the MVP. To me, Wade has had the most positive impact on the court of any player in the league. The guy can do it all
so you agree that Kobe should have won over Dirk couple years ago?

Not necessarily, because his play didn't exactly strike me as completely unselfish amazing team play. Wade has been playing out of his motherfreakin' mind lately, and not one person can even point the finger or call him selfish. This being because he does it all through the flow of the offense without dominating the ball, as well as on the defensive end, just making plays all over. That steal and buzzer beater a few days ago is a perfect example of what I'm trying to say. Wade has just been playing like a winner, and not to mention he has the worst 2-12 supporting cast of probably all the playoff teams. Now I don't mean this to turn into a Dirk vs Kobe debate, as obviously Kobe is the better player, but that's just how I feel on the subject of MVP. Team success does have alot to do with it, but it's not exclusively about that. To me, you have to look at all things and take in the big picture. Now fast forward a couple of years, and we see a totally different Kobe who was rightfully last years MVP and makes a strong case as well this year.

Hmm.. nice game against Utah tonight for Wade.
I don't think anybody thought Wade was capable of this after the injury-plagued season he just came off.

i can understand your point, but i still would have to disagree, Wade has better teamates then Kobe. There's a thin line between seflish and unselfish. Was Kobe being selfish or was he not trusting Kwame, Smash, Luke and Brian Cook with the ball. IMO, he did whatever it took to get his team into the playoffs in a stacked Western Conference. He suceeded. I just think its unfair to now put "selfishness" in the MVP arguement. IF Wade gets an MVP for a mediocre team record because his numbers are off the hook, then Kobe should have gotten it too when Nash and Dirk got it.

IMO, its Lebron vs Kobe....with Lebron in the lead.

Can anyone tell me why he was wearing a patch of electrical tape under his eye when he started the game tonight? Does he think that it looks "COOL"? That can't be from that cut that he got around the A.S. break, can it? I think not, since he took it off toward the end of the game and there was no visible cut or scab/scar. What a ing tool.

Nothing worse than losing to a like that.

i consider him but not as the winner. what im saying is my top 3 doesnt include him despite his great play. its like kobe when he finished 4th. the precedent has been set so wade is 4, doesnt deserve a first place vote. should get plenty of second but not a first. if voters change the rules all that says to me is that people voted against kobe not for his play but because they either hated him or were kissing nash's ass alot

I dont consider anyone for MVP in a team thats .554....and if you do your a ing homer. How can you be MVP of the league, if you can barely win half of your games.

So you would rather have Luke over Beasley, or Smush over Mario cuz he is a rook?

wade has been playing this well even before the o'neal trade. in fact, i would much rather have a younger odom over a washed up o'neal. bryant is the better scorer but wade will always be the better teammate and playmaker. oh and chalmers sucks just as much as smush parker. in fact, parker put up better stats in 05-06 than chalmers.

If that would have been Bryant in yesterdays game he would have had like 70 points. But wade always looks out for his teammates and sets them up much better.
