NBA power rankings: March 15, 2009
    Mike Monroe

    TOP 10

    (Last week’s rank in parentheses)

    1. Lakers (1): Jackson ranks greatest shots any of his players have made. No. 1: Horry’s ’02 winner vs. Kings.Ñ

    2. Cavaliers (3): Division le, franchise record for road wins in hand. Next up: clinching Eastern finals home court.Ñ

    3. Celtics (2): Hanging on while badly shorthanded, but KG is coming back soon, maybe vs. Spurs.Ñ

    4. Hornets (5): As vital as their record, their attendance is up to 99.6 percent of capacity at New Orleans Arena.Ñ

    5. Jazz (4): Climb in standings could cost them first-rounder from Korver deal, protected through top 22.Ñ

    6. SPURS (6): Evident to anyone paying attention: Bonner’s time to shrink with Gooden healthy.Ñ

    7. Rockets (7): Yao’s 3-pointer helps them beat Bobcats, but Battier is in 3-point slump, hitting four of past 33.Ñ

    8. Magic (9): Being pretty much locked into No. 3 seed lets Van Gundy try lineups, like Howard and Gortat on front line.Ñ

    9. Trail Blazers (10): Circle April 10 — that’s when Lakers return to Rose Garden. Ariza may need a bodyguard.Ñ

    10. Heat (12): D. Wade’s steal-game winner vs. Bulls put him in MVP conversation and Heat in top 10.Ñ

Yep. When the Hornets, (you know they suck) at number 4 and Utah " we cannot win on the road" Jazz is at number 5.

Yes, yes. B/c the general public believes these teams have a better shot than us.

It's also worth noting that fluctuating between top four and not too far down the scale is considered under the radar. Recent front court additions aren't noted by anyone, and we are definetly being ignored and pushed to the side.
