It was a known fact that trading for Kidd was a high-risk, win-now, lose-lose situation. A gamble at best. For what they got, an aging, has-been ex-superstar, they gave up a young prospect with a lot of upside while the team got old overnight. What we didn't know is that it was the beginning of a rebuilding phase for the Mavs, howbeit unplanned. The Mavs will be back to their losing ways a year or two after this season. Book it!!!
