Plus the article says the panthers would have to get two first round picks unless they agree to less. As a team I could see them agreeing to less but not to downgrade all the way to just one 2nd round pick.
They have to deny it or they'd be breaking rules. And they don't want 1st round picks, they're looking to cut back on salary.The reason: They aren't allowed to have any trade talks involving Peppers until he signs his one-year tender worth $16.7 million - or until his agent brokers a deal with another team and comes to Carolina for approval.

I like talking about 19-0, but they're far from unbeatable. Teams will attack Brady hard all year long, the Giants showed exactly how to pressure Brady. Fred Taylor is a huge upgrade, but we're still one injury away from Vagina Maroney playing like ass in games that matter.
Realistically, if Brady's knee is okay, I'd say 13+ wins and the AFC Championship Game at a minimum. But this team absolutely has 19-0 potential.
No way in the pats lose less than 4 games next year..This team does not have the depth of years past and the coaches who have been lost to other teams well definatly be felt. Harrison not at safety well be huge for this team. I hate to compare the Pats with my spurs but both are getting older and the gap has closed alot with the rest of the league!!

Even if we dont land Peppers, this team defensively is going to be very solid. They are contenders as long as Brady is healthy and Belichick is coaching. I know teams will be going at Brady hard all year but he should have a great season. Maybe not 2007 great but damn close. We also use multiple backs in the offense. Taylor/Faulk/Morris/Maroney etc etc.

It well be nothing like 2007..I predict the pats will do no better than 10-6.
They were able to go 11-5 without Brady last season and nearly won the division. Not to mention all the other injuries this team had yet they still had that record. If Brady stays healthy, this team will go 12-4/13-3 and should reclaim the afc east division. Brady having an mvp season like he had in 2007 also is not out of the question. It is hard to see the Pats having a worse season especially if they can stay healthy.
Pats are going to rule next season if Brady is good to go. I am thinking the Pats will draft Defense to get them younger.

the pats sure are pissed they lost year before last. with a healthy brady they are just boostin their lineup to the max! i hate the pats but they will(with a healthy brady) be the same beast they had during the undefeated season

The loss of harrison will deflate that defense more than any pats fan is willing to admit..You can say they did well going 11-5 without brady or you can can say the dolphins also went 11-5 and had a very young roster in doing so..The dolphins are the new team to beat in east..
At this point in his career, Rodney Harrison blows more coverages than Roy Williams. He got tons of tackles because he was constantly taking down the guy that just beat him. Losing Harrison affects the locker room only.
