FWIW according to your predictions the Mavs would finish 48-34 and the Suns would finish 47-35.
The Suns are going to make the playoffs without Amare. I didn't think it was gonna happen a couple weeks ago, but now, looking at the schedule...
My prediction is the Suns will go 10 and 4 to finish the season, have a tied record with the Mavs. If the Suns win in the next meeting, the Suns will own the tie breaker because of in-conference wins.
The Mavs will finish the last 14, including tonight's loss at just under .500
Meaning over the next 13 they go 6 and 7.
Both teams finish 47-35.
That's my prediction, but obviously they could be off a bit. The one has to be on the money is PHX @ DAL.
Lakers' Fans, see you in the playoffs.

Damn...that's embarrassing...LOL
Add in another loss somewhere for the Mavs...
EDIT:
Fixed
Also for what it's worth, my prediction has them finishing only 1 game worse than Hollinger's machine:

Pretty bold though considering Mavs are 25-8 at home (25-4 since 0-4 start) and you have them going 4-4 in their last 8 home games, including a loss to the Warriors who are 6-28 on the road.
I guess it's possible, that's why they play the games. We haven't had many tough home games lately (just Spurs since ASB has +.500 record) so maybe I'm overrating how well the Mavs play on their home court.
Mavs wont lose to GSW at home but as for the rest of the predictions, I see it as the worse case scenario of the Mavs dropping some of those games at home.....also remember Barbosa is out 1-3 weeks
Look man, its not going to happen. I mean, the only way that this could POSSIBLY happen is if the team in front of them is capable of a collapse of epic propor . . .
Oh nevermind.
They still can mathematicly. But without Barbossa and Amare the suns will have to pray the Mavs choke worse than the 2006 finals.
Wow could one fan base endure anymore pain within a 3 yr period than the Mavs?
2006 blow 2-0 Finals lead
2007 win 67 games and lose in 1st round
2009 up 6 games with less than 20 left and lose playoff spot to depleted Suns team????????
1. Officiating bias
2. Fluke jump shots
3. Not gonna happen. If they're still hanging around by April 5th the mutha in Dirk will kick their ass JUST like he did 10 days ago.
Everyone just LOVES to knee jerk.
Suns don't have the heart, defense, consistency, talent, or intensity to overcome a 3.5 game gap in such a short span.
I'll eat crow if I'm wrong
This is just like when people thought the Mavs would finish 9th after the Suns beat up on garbage teams and the Lakers and then they proceeded to lose the next 6 games. I knew that road trip would em up while everyone was writing off the Mavs as the odd team out, and their games @ NOLA @ PORT @ Utah will them up too.
Mavs 6th seed BOOK it.
You look at the Jazz's schedule? They may have 6-7 losses left in them.
It's very possible, just gotta get the same record as Portland.
I'd say if we go 10-3 we can get a 6 seed.
And if I ran the 40 yard dash in 4.2 seconds, I'd be in the NFL.
10-3 isn't unfathomable with 8/13 left @ home...
Losing to Dallas and that close Cleveland loss I think sealed the suns fate this season. There would have to be some major chokage on the Mavs part.
When the team you're chasing is Dallas, there are endless possibilities.....
Just ask Miami.![]()
^ Nice.
so true but still...![]()
