2 BS blocking fouls called against the Celtics.

    6 straight missed free throws.

Big Baby Davis nutting a jumper to seal the game.

It doesn't get any worse than this. Congrats Spurs. You have won the award for worst choke job of the season thus far
Thanks man! Took a lot of work! We'll congratulate you when kobe goes 7-22 from the field in game 6 of the 2008 finals again!!

I know you Spurs fans are hyped about this year, since the spurs only seem to win in odd years. You're hoping that history repeats itself. Well last season Boston beat us in the regular season 2-0 and then in the finals we fell apart, bad time to do that. I admit they choked. But this season we beat them 2-0 and if we get them in finals we should beat them. Hey spurs fans I know what you're thinking but if you ask me your aspirition of another le seem more like a dream than reality.
Because beating a team 2-0 really means easy success in the Finals.(it doesn't ask CLE) The only reason LA cared about beating the Celtics was cause Boston raped em so bad they had to pull pieces of large intestine off themselves when they were done.

Regular season records have nothing to do with playoffs, the Suns were 2-0 against the Spurs after the Shaq trade last year.....boy they really carried that success over to the playoffs

The Celtics don't have 17 rings then.
Since 1946, year in which the team was formed, they have been BOSTON Celtics!

    Detroit Gems: 1948
    Minneapolis: 1949, 1950, 1952, 1953, 1954
    Los Angeles: 1972, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2001, 2002

    Stay on topic.

This thread is not about the Los Angeles Lakers or the Minneapolis Lakers. This thread is about the worst choke job of this year, which IMHO has got to go to the San Antonio Spurs. A team that prides itself on clutchness could not have been more unclutch with 1:30 to go in the game. They shriveled up and took a swift kick to the balls delivered by a BBD jumper of all things.

You forgot to mention that the team's most clutch player wasn't even playing.

I don't think this Spur team is clutch at all. Put Manu in and I'd feel confident.

    EPIC FAIL

You are making a big deal out of nothing. I notice that you keep saying "stay on topic." Why??? Is it because the fact that the Lakers are still the Celtics' es??? Or is it you know that the rest of the team will disappear in the playoffs again??? Biggest choke of the year

I'm glad to hear that spurs fan are treating this like a meaningful game. This loss just put you 1 game ahead of the rockets. If you lose tomorrow it can be trouble. Suns might be out but if the spurs keep giving away games that are actually starting to count they could go from the #2 seed to the #9 like that. That lose against the sixers piss me off but were still #1 in the WC.
Alert me when this actually takes place. Again, there was nothing of real significance (divisional dominance couldn't save the Hornets from elimination last year) on the line in this game for either team to choke away. Thank you.

Spurs choked so what? It wasn't a play-off or finals choke. It already means nothing.

Choke of the year? Whatever. Just House, vigorously stroking himself in public once again.
