Barbosa's impact can't be understated, either, especially with a guy like JR Smith on the other side. Smith likes to go off on us, and we don't have anyone to guard him effectively.
Never underestimate the Mavs' ability to choke. They're quite talented at it.
The Suns will probably have to go 11-2 the rest of the way to have a good shot of making it in. Looking at our next four games (Denver, Utah, @Portland, @Utah), I don't like our chances at all.
I agree, the Suns have a tough time here on out, but I won't be surprised if they don't at least close the gap between 8and 9 very close before the season ends.
They actually have a fair shot at Denver, since the Nuggets have been somewhat random with the quality of their play as of late.
The Nuggets' play as of late has resembled the Suns', strangely. They went through a rough patch against quality teams, and then a 4- or 5-game winning streak against weak compe ion.
Should actually be a good game tonight. I'll check it out: Billups and Nash are both fun to watch.

They can't win all four, that's obvious. They need to take care of home court and hopefully get lucky enough to win one of the road games in 2 of the toughest arenas to get a road win at and the two arenas where the refs give by far the most calls to the home team.
There is no way in they can win both of those away games, so tonight's game is basically whether or not they have a 0% chance or a 7% chance.

It's a double edged sword for the Mavs right now.
To cheer for the Suns to help u increase odds of moving up in standings, or cheer for the opponent to assure at the very least the guys would make the playoffs?!
