I doubt that either the Rockets or the Spurs will make it out of the 1st round. Unless they play each other. Then one of them has to.
    Always something negative to say....
    And stupid to boot....

So how bout dem Fail-Blazers? WCF? Perhaps the Finals?

Rockets should do whatever it takes to avoid Utah. If it means holding on to the second seed so be it. If Utah is holding the 7th seed, then we should just tank and let the Spurs play them. We don't want to come out of the first round injured banged up and bruised because that is what Sloan and his Thugs will do.

To be the best or top dog, they need to play and beat teams like Utah....helps to toughen them up, at least mentally.

The only thing that yesterday proved was how poorly the Spurs are playing and that there is likely only one true contender in the West and it isn't the Rockets or the Spurs. Right now everyone is a long way behind the Lakers and nothing the Rockets have done changes that. The Spurs have much better prospects to reaching that level but they're no where near there at the moment. It remains to be seen if they can reach it at all.

    Artest can't defend Manu.
don't kid yourself as much as i dislike artest and hsi stupid boneheadedness he can guard anyone not named Kobe Bryant. No offense but if there was one player on the spurs i though was Overrated, it would be Ginobili. He makes you a much better team but he is a product of the system.

The rockets are playing really well right now but you have to remember they have little playoff experience and the spurs have more than enough...

If the rockets played the spurs in the playoffs, regardless of HCA it would be Spurs in 5 or 6

Copy that. Right now I don't see anyone beating the Lakers in a 7 game series, especially when they hold HCA. But that's what make the playoffs interesting, right? If the Lakers were to be eliminated that would certainly be the story of the year.

I believe that PJ's record is 100% when his team wins the 1st game of a series. It would be interesting to see how they might respond to someone stealing the first game from them.

The Rockets do share with us the rare pleasure of knocking the Lakers out of the playoffs. If not us, I wouldn't mind seeing them do it as I've always admired the Rocket's franchise.

Of course he is. He's a defensive stalwart after all right?

Oh, and I case you missed it:

    Artest can't defend Manu

The Rockets play Utah next. Easily a loss for Rockets. The Spurs back at first in the SW division.
...and with the Spurs' luck, the Rockets will win by 29.

If there is any one player that isn't a product of Pop's system, it's Manu. In fact, Pop has had to adjust his system to fit Manu's freelancing, ad-lib style of play.

I'm sorry, but I think stats like that are meaningless. A lot of those wins are based on teams with immense talent and chemistry. Put PJ on the Sixers' bench or the Heat bench and he wouldn't be posting 100%-type figures...

    Not in Utah.
