Spanoulis would be one of the best point guards in the NBA right now. He is by far and away the top talent in Europe.

For Spurs fan you don't even know about your own team. He was asked to stay by Popovich and Parker and they did not want to let him from his contract so Panathinaikos had to pay 1 million euros to Spurs to do so.
Parker even had dinner with him to convince him to stay from Popovich. And of point guards you list maybe they are better than him but no others in NBA. He is for sure better than any other point guard in the NBA. And really Parker and Williams are no better than him.

Well, maybe a bit true, since balkan countries +italy and Spain have some pretty strong leagues compared to other nations, but i still think the NBA is their biggest dream, And thats completely normal, since its the best league in the world.

I think Chris Paul is better than him. Williams is comparable. Parker and him is pretty close also. Maybe only other point guard in NBA better than him is Nash.
If I give you all of those this is ok to say. Although as I say he is in same class really as Williams and Parker.
But he is much better than any other NBA point guard. Even I maybe thought some others like Davis is comparable but he is not as good as Spanoulis really. Arenas is not really a point guard so I don't think you can count him.
Some NBA point guards that is considered to be good like Rose and Devin Harris and players in that level are not close to as good as Spanoulis.
Spanoulis and Parker are both from Europe and both same generation players. This means for Europe players born within same year or two years.
In 16 and under age in their generation #1 point guard in Europe was Spanoulis. #2 was Parker and #3 was Udrih, #4 Zisis.
In 18 and under age #1 was Parker, #2 Spanoulis, #3 Zisis and #4 Udrih
In 20 and under it was #1 Zisis, #2 Spanoulis, #3 Parker, #4 Udrih
And since the senior days they have played each other several times. Once Parker owned Spanoulis and several times it was Spanoulis who owned Parker. Parker has said more then once that Spanoulis would be one of the very best in NBA.

Bottom line is, when Spanoulis played in the NBA with Houston, he averaged 2.7 points and .8 assists a game. He ended up getting benched and getting no playing time, while Parker, for the second time, is an All Star, and leading a team to a run in the playoffs.
