Nickel and diming in school is a joke. I remember getting $25 "Instructional Enhancement Fees" for each class for ing websites that half my professors posted absolutely nothing on, and the other half just posted the syllabus on.
It's crazy in Chicago, the good bars are open until 2 and the shady bars are open late- seems like it should be the other way around. They are bars you would never go to unless they were open late. They also have one liquor store that is like the size of a grocery store that is open until 4am and they raise their prices like 25% on everything after 2am. A case of beer Old Style is like $30. It's robbery, but there is a line just to get into the place on a Friday or Saturday in the summer

There's some unmarked club on the street that run parallel to the strip (the side toward the Rio, not the side toward the convention center).
It's BYOB, there's a big dance floor and a DJ. Then there's a bunch of siderooms. There's a live sex room with a gigantic mattress in the middle and chairs all around it to watchAnd there's a bunch of other weirdness going on in the other rooms (trans, S&M, etc). I went there with a guy friend of mine back before I got married. We found it because my friend was in the middle of a divorce, and wanting to go wild. We got in a cab and he told the driver - take us to somewhere totally sleazy
We personally didn't do anything there but drink, dance and get propositioned by a lot of girls.
Registration fees when signing up for a sport, club, any activity.
Me "I thought you said 25 dollars a week"
Worker "I did but there is a registration fee of 50 dollars for signing up, we do this every year with everyone"
Me "okay"......... but thinking RIP OFF!
What's with the nominal monthly fees for tanning salons when you're "inactive"?
In Germany the public toilets are "pay toilets" too, but they are self cleaning (and damn good at it too) so it is worth it. One of my greatest stories from over there is that my host brother and his girlfriend started to feel frisky while we were all out in the park, went into the pay toilet to indulge themselves, but they took too long and the toilets are programmed to start cleaning themselves after a long period of inactivity. They both just about fell out pretty much naked in a cloud of spray cleaner.
I'm getting excited......
The $7 "system access fee" on cell phone bills in Canada.
Their explanation is "to help us maintain our infrastructure" or some .
Now the selling point of small cell phone companies is "NO SYSTEM ACCESS FEE"
Tell us more about this.
The fee Kori is going to charge me to pm me the real story of the sex club
Go ahead, continue please.
At one time I had 3 lines with Cricket--paying the starting rate of $37 a month. Then, they lowered the starting rate to $35 a month. I went into one of their stores and asked if I could just switch and get the $35 a month plan for all 3 lines, since that's what the new going rate was. The girl was like "Sure, no problem!" Imagine my pissiness when I got the bill the following month--they charged me $10 PER LINE to go in and change my rate. Um,how 'bout no? When I called to they told me it was a "maintenance fee" since someone had to go in and manually change our accounts--I told them to maintain "this" and went to Pocket. Ass s.
Honestly, I don't like that fee, but I really don't mind it. I am saving a ton of money being with cricket, and if I had to pay $30 to save $6 a month, I would have my money back in 5 months and still be far better off than I would be with one of the majors. Obviously you took another route and went with pocket, but I can't seem to get past their tiny call area, and their lack of reception
I agree. Cricket >>>>>>>> Pocket. Pocket pretty much sucks. So, I've just gone with AT&T GoPhone which works everywhere. I'm not in a position where I need to be glued to my cell phone anymore, so it works for me. But yeah, if I needed a plan, I'd swallow my pride and head back to Cricket. They can't be beat when you are staying local. I never had any service issues with them--it's just that $30 in fees pissed me off. I mean, I watched the girl do it--it took all of 6 seconds per account.![]()
I completed a Master's degree completely online through the distance education program of a university.
Every single semester I had to pay the following:
$48 computer usage fee (I am at home and not even there to use their computers)
$75 Fitness and Recreation Fee (like I use it)
$11.00 ID Fee (have never gotten one)
$79.00 Student Services fee (like I use any services there)
Then they charge me a $134.00 Distance Education Fee!!
At my old apt(whitewood) I actually got charged 20$ for paying my rent early...and the following month go charged 50$ for paying a day late.
I rented a car last week to go to colorado in and they charged me for an extra driver without ing telling me on the back in.. ing s..
Yeah, like I said, it sucks, but they have to make their money somewhere. I pretty much stay local, but when I go to austin, they are a cricket market, so no problem. When I went to Port A, I used to just pay an extra $15 that month so that I would have the 200 roaming minutes, and that solved that problem. Well they are now a Cricket market (as long as you have a triband phone), so I don't even have to do that anymore. I have been lucky too, most of the places my fiance or I have flown on business have been cricket markets too. Only place that wasn't was Milwaukee last year. Overall, I am pretty happy with them and have kept them for 3 years now.
