2nd best PF?
Wow, you are a![]()
Rick Adelman - Rockets
Gregg Popovich - Spurs
Phil Jackson - Lakers
Stan Van Gundy - Magic
Mike Brown - Cavaliers
Doc Rivers - Celtics
I would give real consideration to Mike Woodson. Who had Atlanta fourth in the East? Most of those coaches listed above have at least one superstar.
2nd best PF?
Wow, you are a![]()
I stopped watching the Hawks just this year, so for 2009 I can't say with any authority, but based on 4 seasons of devoutly loyal ATL viewership, Mike Woodson is a loser.
Joe Johnson may not be a superstar in regards to his fame, but he definitely plays like one.
Also, following their impressive performance against the Celtics in last year's playoffs, I don't think the Hawks are doing anything really noteworthy. They got off to a great start in the beginning of the year, but kinda tapered off.
I don't even think Woodson deserves a top 3 spot.
for sure Duncan is only the 2nd best PF, the first best PF is Rapper.![]()
my vote goes for Sloan. Kind of amazing he has never won it.
Can his coach get some credit for that?
I just think it is easy to pick those other guys and I like to notice coaches who do well with what they have. I mean how hard is it to coach Tim Duncan?
And saying the Hawks are not a surprise- well, is Cleveland or LA or SA a surprise? At least the Hawks went from 8 to 4 in one season.
+1
Sloan did a great job this year and damn does he at least deserve one before he leaves
If you're saying Duncan is 1, you're proving his point even further, ' '.
ballijuana-do they allow black people in the ESA?
Cleveland yes, if only because I didn't expect their defense to be as good as it is.
Joe Johnson has been a stud his entire career. I'm not saying Woodson is a bad coach or anything, but coach of the year is just a bit much.
The Hawks did go from 8 to 4, but like I said before, they were expected to do so considering how well they did in the playoffs last year. They also only picked their up a bit recently, for a better part of the season they were very up and down.
what is the name of this Rockett and where can we see more of her?

Adleman yes.
Poppy Finley are you joking?
Doc nah altho i think they are saving it for the playoffs.
Phil nah the collusion made it too easy for Smug Phil.
Stan Van gotta see how it ends up, I'll consider him.
I'll give it to Mike Brown if Cleveland finishes with the best overall record. Sure the Cavs may not win it all, and sure people may have expected a 55+ win season anyway. But they are on pace for a 65+ win season, which is damned impressive. Plus he hasn't won one yet, and the NBA seems to like first-time winners who finish with a top 2-3 record in the league (think AJ, D'Antoni, Byron Scott)
The #2 candidate on my list is Stan Van Gundy for very similar reasons. Beat expectations, will likely finish with around 60 wins, hasn't won one yet.
I'd tip my hat to the NBA if they pick Sloan or Pop, considering what they had to work with. But if history is any indicator, they have very little chance of winning.

Is there a reason you perpetually have a stuck in your ear?
I think Van Gundy definitely deserves it. Mike Brown isn't that great of a coach, Doc already won it, Pop and Phil don't need it, Adleman doesn't have a chance, and Sloan shouldn't win just because he's way overdue.
My two cents.
Nate McMillan should be on the list.
I'd give it to Popovich though. Even though I can't stand him.
Awesome, thank you.
I like her pic in your sig the best by far, esp the headshot. However she still may be considered to bear my children.
Nice website, thanks.
Wish the Spurs Dancers would have their site done the same.
Natalie and I will name a child after you.
Yet Numb Nutts in turn refuses to get benchies time ie rookie Hill, instead stubbornly continuing to blow Finley.
Same thing he did in the LA Laker loss last playoffs, stubbornly stuck with 60% GNob instead of improvising.
Next.
I dunno man, I think I'll side with the man who has 4 rings on his fingers, a coach of the year under his belt, the best winning percentage in the last 12 years, and one of a wine cellar.
By far the best roster for 6-7-8 of those 12 years, altho the Gasol Collusion made it about even for 2008.
Best roster 8, got only 4. Failed to repeat.
meh.
african-american girls make you feel better, right?
