With Hill, Mason, Thomas and Bonner coming off the bench. There's more than enough offensive and defensive spark with those four. There's your rotation Pop, stick with it.

Just for the record: I'll bump this thread every time it starts falling off. I want this to be seeing by everyone (or at least somebody in the Spurs coaching stuff) just give it a try, that's all I'm asking. Specially the start Manu thing (you can't be the guy that brings a spark off the bench at age 31) and the "put a real bigman" alongside Duncan (We aren't going anywhere with Bonner as a starter).
And for the love of God no more Udoka.
the starting line-up isn't the problem, it's the rotations and secondary line-ups that Pop rolls out with.
I am not all that impressed with Drew to be perfectly honest. He really is terrible on defense and his offense is not good enough to make up for it. He is a good rebounder, but he has too many quirks in his game right now.
He still has some time, and he has shown flashes, but I do not think you should start him.
Keep in mind that theoretically, the Spurs 2nd unit should be very good once they gel. Manu is not Manu yet and Drew is learning. I know it is frustrating as , and I am so disappointed with this loss, but it is unrealistic to expect every thing to click already.
I know that is not confidence inspiring, but it is what it is. We just have to see how it shakes out.
wtf is pop not playin bowen alot, is he saving him for the playoffs, or has bowen accepted the ian mahinmi role, checking paychecks while doin nothing... this .
Yes lets do it. Makes no sense at all to not play Bowen at all. I don't get it.
I'm not so torn about this loss. This is someting I've been thinking for a long time. If you aren't confident enough to give Gooden the starting job then Put Thomas in there but no team will win anything with Bonner as a starter.
I'm done with this Manu 6th man crap. He plays better when he starts and the team does better when he starts. We can start all the members of the big three and still have at least one at every-minute of the game so I don't see the benefit of bringing Manu off the bench anymore.
I want to see more Bowen. Damn Pop after all Bowen has done on D.
No more Mason at PG!
Start small. Pe ion to have Bowen actually play.
I would like a starting line-up of TP, Mason, Bowen, Duncan, and Thomas. Bringing Manu and Gooden off the bench is still a good combo to me. A line-up of TP, Mason, Bowen, Duncan, and Thomas would be a good mix of O and D out there.
What's up with that? Usually games like this have Bowen written all over it (to try to stop Paul). Is he injured or something?
There is something inside of me that is saying Pop has saved Bruce totally for the Playoffs this year and once they start....he is going to let him out like a caged animal.
It looks like Pop is prepared to close the Bowen chapter![]()
But he will be rusty as . And sometimes not playing takes endurance away from you (you lost the habituality of playing 30 minutes per game).
God I hope not.
I hope not. Bowen at 65 will still be better than Udoka at his best. Bruce would still be able to hit the side-corner 3.
Bowen showed last year he can't guard Paul anymore and with no wing defender to "shut down" Bowen was deemed not needing to be used.
That's why I think Timvp is saying he is closing the door on Bruce. You have to get in rhythm before the playoffs. We all thought Bruce would be getting minutes by now if he was saving him for the playoffs. You can't just start him in the playoffs after getting DNP CDs.
+1
Bruce shut Peja down. If he didn't shut Peja down we might have lost that series. Bruce still has a lot of value.
I thought you're better than that TPark. Bruce can still play.

George Hill needs to play more. If you don't want him to play the PG position, have Gino facilitate the offense. Hill's D is a huge asset in games like this.
The only problem I had was that he knows he can't touch Paul and it showed a bit. But he was attacking the rim for rebounds and just getting after it on D.
Does anyone think Oberto could have helped out there tonight instead of Thomas and Bonner?
Spit those words
