Adam is the only one who doesn't look like he's trying out for something.
He RUINED a perfectly good song.

Kumar has to stay! I know he sucked last night and he won't win but I rather see him instead of that tranny. I'm thinking the blonde girl that wiggles might get the axe. Hopefully the goes home.
was a big Adam fan...but the more i see him the more i dont like him. Routing for Gokey, Kris Allen, Kumar and Matt Giraud.
the judges are confusing Kumar...they tell him to do a fast song, and they rip him everytime he does one. lol
lol. They do confuse Kumar but he also said last night he wants to sing that style. Bad idea.
Lambert looks like a rapist of small young boys.
if he really wants to do R&B without imitating, kumar needs to do like what he did with "Always ON My MInd"...he took a great country hit and added his R&B flavor..one of my fav performances this season.
Adam has the (un)fortunate distinction of being crowned the winner of Idol 8 during Top 11 week so he's got a golden ticket to at least the top 3. He could sing the Power Rangers theme song next week and still probably get the most votes. But I'm sure 95% of women are going to vote for Robert Downey, Jr. because they feel bad about his wife dying. That and he'll probably end up in an Egyptian Deathmatch with Adam for the finals unless Kris Allen loses some confidence and s up.
Megan Joy was horrible this week. I am so glad she was kicked off. She just did not understand that her voice was suited for Adele, duffy, Amy Winehouse, etc. When I heard her audition I was like "Wow, she'll be awesome...if she can pick the right song." But she never did and it hurt her.
Adam's version of Ring of Fire made me puke.
Johnny Cash rolled over in his grave.
I'm voting for Gokey. Very versatile.
Simon ripped her after she gets kicked off. What was that about?
When it was announced she was going home, she said something to the effect of "That's okay .... I don't care."
He got pissed off at the "I don't care" part and told her because of that she wasn't even going to be considered to be saved.
He didn't even pretend that they would consider saving her. It's his way, but I thought he was even harsher than he normally is.
For what it's worth, I get local coverage after the show and they showed Simon hugging her and wishing her well.
simon's opinion is the only opinion i really "value" on that show. he looks at the whole picture of being an artist. the rest are paula lite. every once in a while randy grows a pair. i thought megan handled her ousting a little childish. not professional at all. i couldn't tell if she was sounding horrible on purpose on her last song. clearly still wet behind the ears.
I fast-forward through everyone but Simon.![]()
lucky! We got some local coverage with that leggy snot a few seasons back, but nothing more now.
And I agree with those who think Simon is the voice of reason. He may say things rudely, but it's like the saying, "You were thinking it....but i said it..."
he's taking the stance of the producer/record company that is s ing out the millions of dollars that goes into putting someone out there in the setting that they're put in.
Song selection this season has been balls to the wall awful, and next week is "song from the year of your birth" week. Which is going to suck because all of them except Allison were born in the 80s and the 80s is known for bad pop music and even worse automobiles.
They really need to alternate from week to week, having the idols pick their own song and then the next week let the judges do it.
blaspheme!!!
Find me 10 "good" 80s pop songs not by Michael Jackson or Madonna and I'll find you over a hundred more that are either overplayed or just ing awful.
overplayed? they're more than 20 years old. in 20 years today's music will be overplayed.
I can see challenging a lot of genres of 80s music, but not pop. The 80s were pop.
I don't listen to today's music either.
that doesn't matter. i'm just establishing that anything 20 years old is essentially overplayed. but hey, it's all just taste. i grew up in the 80's and it's a part of me.
Exactly, Michael Jackson, Tears for fears, I mean the list goes on and on and on.
I'll put 10 bucks on Lil rounds trying to do whitney and then Randy doing his usual "Man, trying to do whitney is tough and not something I'd advise..."
I can't believe the show cut off right before Adam's performance, but I found a video for everyone who missed it.. http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...=adam-top8.flv
Adam is so awesome! He has to win this show!
