I spent a chunk of cash to get an HD TV so I could watch the Spurs. Yet, they are seldom on HD on DirecTV. Anyone know why? Is it the small market lame excuse, again?

directv doesn't have 35 wb in hd. if you tv has a digital tuner than you can hook an antenna and get it over the air like i do.

I feel your pain. Dishnetwork still doesn't have Lakers away games in HD.

It's crazy how back then, games were only broadcast on the radio and we're whining about HD

So true. Back before League Pass I was thrilled to get a handful of Spurs games nationally every season.

Have had every game in HD on Uverse as well... In my house we have 3 40"+ HD TV's, with 3 HD rcvrs, blue rays and xbox's hooked up... Im so ridiculously spoiled on technology .

I cant imagine going back 10 years ago when all I had was on 24" crt lol.

That was the case a few years ago. I switched to Dish and have never looked back. Too bad channel 35 is not HD yet with Dish, but all the rest of the games are HD

Here in Austin, we get to see alot of Spurs games via Fox Sports SW on DirecTV. I have plenty of options when they televise them nationally TNT HD (thurs), ESPN HD (fri), NBA TV HD or FSSW HD. Sometimes they'll even feed in CW in standard, but it looks like crap on HDTV. I guess since San Antonio is considered local, CW owns the rights to air it locally???

Ask and ye shall receive...this is unreal, I complained just this morning.

I just looked right now and the Lakers channel 9 (away games) just got added today.... in HD!

Woohoo, Dishnetwork FINALLY gets out of the stone age.
