Apparently Republican butt-hurt sentiment hasn't.

what obama mania? That people like guy?
The honeymoon period is bound to end.
I dont think it will end soon. But people will start to see that he is just an ordinary president, who cannot make everything happen what he promised them before.
I overheard a blogger typing that Obama is just peachy.
ES, Dear Leader is set for life. I am just wondering when he pulls
the Hugo thing and appoints himself President for life. (of course with
elections, under terms he sits)
It is coming, bet on it. His ratings haven't even started to tank.
XRay, do you check your curtains each time you come into your house for spies?
No, no I know, you put a small piece of debris by the door, then check it when you get home to see if someone's already inside the house, right?
ray's pretty old. he may have trouble finding the right house.
I voted for Obama, but he hasn't lived up to my expectations so far. Waaaay too much spending...
Well, his numbers are still, somehow, high. I'm not entirely sure why. It would be an interesting discussion.
In New Orleans, anyway, most people don't even care about what he does or thinks. They don't even follow it. They are just into him. He is their leader. So, to that extent, no, I don't think we'll see the end of at least the black community completely absorbed with this guy. And the hard left will stick with him no matter what. He's their man. (I warned moderates who he was, they didn't listen!)
The media? Well ... it WAS gratifying to finally see them turn on the Clintons after 16 years. Someone newer came along. Will they ever do this to Obama? I think that because some of them have a vested interest (jobs in his administration, perhaps some federal $$) in keeping his program afloat we won't see the end of the soft handling. At least not from the MSM.
But will the "middle" stick with him that long? Enough to get him re-elected (and believe me, they're already working that)? That's the question.
fear tactics work pretty good.
In 2012 he won't get to run on "different Politician/Washington" since he has already proven he is just as bad if not worse than past s in D.C. He also won't get to run against Bush but he will be running against dumbass Palin or some other Republican scrub so that is a wash.
I can wait to see how Obama and the media will trick the americans 4 yrs from now.

You don't think he'll recycle the Hope and Change mantra that worked so well? I envision him doing pretty much the same thing -- run as a moderate, give great speeches, produce lots of messianic imagery, and get re-elected.
I mean, we're taking baby-steps toward tyranny ... but the people love him.
Baby steps toward tyranny? How so, dotell?
I doubt Palin will win the republican nomination to be President. I mean she will never win. As far as 2012 Obama does not have a chance to be re-elected. This election was about beating down Bush (McCain felt that beat down) and getting a Democrat in office. I am still shaking my head what the people were thinking when they voted for Obama over Hillary. She would have been a much better choice. Obama is our President. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA the dude has zero expierence and is a socialist.
Read Mark Levin's new book, Liberty and Tyranny, and he'll enlighten you! Of course, you might have trouble finding the book since it's the #1 book in the nation right now and they can't keep it on the shelves.
It's us conservatives doing our part to stimulate the economy!
This thread is full of win.
Look ... the guy is a brilliant campaigner. He's still in campaign mode! Even if the first wave of Obamania wears off, you can be sure that he'll be back at in 2012, probably early 2011.
Unless Americans get educated about the Cons ution, the role of govt, and basic economics, they're going to keep electing big-gummint types like him (and Bush, and Clinton), over and over. Democracy depends upon a well-informed electorate. Without it, it's glorified mob rule.
What has your statement got to do with Obama's popularity? Maybe
you are the one who has the problem.![]()
Conservatives are getting more and more concerned and looking for ways to combat the insanity in D.C. That's why ratings are up for the big talk show hosts like Rush, Sean, Mark Levin and Laura Ingraham. In fact, they're adding new stations. The ratings are also up for the Fox News Channel, while MSNBC is sinking.
Liberty and Tyranny - as of yesterday - was the #1 book in the nation, across all categories and including hardcover and paperback. I believe they've sold over 750,000 copies already. Mark had two book signings and 17,000 people showed up. The first one was on Long Island, and the 2nd one was just outside of D.C. People drove from Florida and Chicago and Atlanta just to meet Mark and get his book. One man called into his show who lives in Mexico, where he has a small business, and he drove all the way to Arizona to get a book!
Now add in all the Tea Parties happening across America - and it looks like the 2010 elections could be VERY interesting!to Libs and RINOs!
