I was shocked, SHOCKED, that they called that last offensive foul on Wade.
Then I noticed it wasn't Wade and wasn't shocked at all.
Beloved Mavs defeated the Cheat 98-96 with Josh Howard's presence giving our boys a spirutal lift, guiding our shots into the cylinder.
The old Josh was back tonight with 7 FTA's, 20 pts, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. he even had 2 assists!
Dirk with an efficient 30 pts tonight. Pretty good shooting for the white antoine walker.
Terry had a bad shooting game though IMO. Plus a few braindead TO's and braindead foul on a 3-PT shooter.
Bass Barea and Wright were serviceable.
Vexing that all these things clicked and yet we only won by 2 against a trash Cheat team, but I guess that's what happens when you're a mediocre defensive team.
This just goes to show hte Mavs are the 2006 champions and D-Whistle isn't that good when he isn't shooting 25 FT's a game.

Stern's attempt to market D-Whistle as the next Jordan was shortlived. That's because in the following year hte Cheat proved they were not real champions by going 44-42, and then the following year D-Whistle faked an injury and guided the Cheat to 15 wins. It's hard to market a guy as Jordan when he's on a 15 win team and crying like a in a wheelchair. JOrdan would never cry like a in a wheelchair.

So the Mavs fans are happy when their team wins on a couple of bull calls, but can't get over it when they can't hit free throws to put a finals game away.
I thought D-Whistle was clutch? He was 0-3 in the final 5:31 tonight with 1 turnover. Doens't seem very clutch to me.
Could it be that he was never clutch in the 1st place? After all, all he did in the Finals was hit some FT's. Give me 97 FT's and I'll make 70 or so too.

Nothing surprising though, Wade misses 75% of game winning opportunities. That's weird, I could swear the TV told me he was clutch. I guess he isn't very clutch at all, just hype created by Fuhrer Stern giftwrapping the 2006 Finals for the Cheat.
