If any of us slacked at our jobs or incessantly showed up late, we'd be fired.

If an NBA player sucks or isn't fulfilling his role, whether it be as the superstar, role player, 8th man, what have you, he gets waived or traded.

If a team doesn't respond to a coach's methods or if the team is underachieving in the opinion of the front office, the coach is fired.

Now you would think when an NBA ref fails at his job, and in doing so, robs a team of a championship and ruins a players legacy, he would lose that job, right?

Apparently not. I don't understand why. I suppose he did what he was supposed to do according to the league: over our beloved Mavs. I suppose if he made the correct NON-call he would be fired since the league wanted the Cheat to win and D-Whistle the primadonna wheelchair to be hyped as the next Jordan.

Basically what I'm trying to say is the Mavs are the 2006 NBA champions, and I have no idea why someone who makes a call as horrendous as his in Game 5 would still have a place in this league, IF the league wasn't rigged.

When Crawford incorrectly overreacted and ejected Duncan, he received a penalty. When Salvatore ROBS a team of a championship, tarnishes a player's legacy and taints the NBA Finals, he gets ... nothing?

I also love how the Cheat are lauded for their physical play in the series. Jeez, you would think them being so physical the Mavs would shoot more FT's than the Cheat, yet were out shot 49-25 in the Game 5 that was stolen from us.

The Jazz and Celtics are recognized as physical teams today and their opponents shoot plenty of foul shots. The Cheat apparently won the series because they were more physical and just so happened to shoot 24 more FT's that game. How swell.

    2006 champions gots.

He is a good ref. The ones people should be complaining about are Bavetta, that Violet Palmer, and Tony Brothers.

Colin Cowherd made a weird ass point today about Violet Palmer saying the nba needs a woman ref cuz most of the players are raised by women. Colin is usually pretty good (the 2nd best guy on radio after Rome), but that was kinda re ed.

Other than the Duncan incident, what else has Crawford done? I actually like Joey becuase he isn't intimidated by the players and crowds and we can actually get decent officiating. I realize Spurs fans will probably not agree.

Violet Palmer is just wildly inconsistant and it is very frustrating to watch. There is an ESPN article about it somewhere that followed her calls one game and it was just hideous.

Yea dude, I think that is why our last game in Utah was probably the best officiated ones in a while. He seriously didn't look like he cared about the crownd

Joey Crawford still officiates horrible when he officiates Spurs games...it's horrible to watch. Maybe he doesn't do it for all teams, but if you officiate bad for one team, that shows a vendetta for some reason, and that's bad officiating, period.

I dunno, obviously I don't watch every Spurs game and it is very plausible he doesn't like the Spurs for whatever reason, but I haven't seen it in our games.

To be fair though, and I mean this in the least hostile way, if I were a referee and there were players who consistantly played the referees to get calls (flopping) I would probably officiate them differently than others who didn't. The Spurs, not so much lately, but last year and the year before were guilty of some questionable tactics towards the referees. Ginobili, Horry and Bowen come to mind as players who have made refs look like idiots and I think sometimes the refs remember that stuff.

Salvatore is a jerkoff. He single-handedly made game 1 of the 2003 WCF the worst game I've ever seen. 97 ing free-throws in a game that didn't go to OT.

Come on now..stop the hatin...Spurs don't flop any more than any other team..especially the Hornets..CP3 flops more than a fish on land. Absolutely ridiculous. Joey Crawford calls the Spurs horribly...And what questionable tactics are you talking about? You'd think, as a fan, I'd know these things, or would have heard about them. I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm very worried about Bavetta's slippage, he's clearly a shadow of his former self. I also think Bill Kennedy and Tony Brothers need to be closely monitored, they need to work in their game ASAP.
