This will no doubt be one of the best Duncan interviews for basketball fans (not just Spurs fans) to see!
It carries much more weight than those over-hyped Garnett interviews that were shoved down our collective throats during last years finals. It was downright sad to see what I personally consider the greatest basketball player (or champion if you don't agree) in history being asked to interview this y, foul-mouthed, selfish, self-important ass of an athlete. It's not like Russell was gonna say 'no', he's one of the nicest guys on the planet, and he genuinely seems interested in sharing his experiences as a human being and as a champion. What was sad about it was the complete contrast of character displayed. It was sad watching Garnett, and maybe the producers of the show, uncomfortably try to give himself a likeable personality. The kind of personality that Duncan oozes without pounding his chest, slapping the hardwood and taunting point-guards, or screaming 'yeah mutha a' every time he dunks. And because Duncan isn't insecure and doesn't cry for the spotlight, this probably won't get as much attention. Sadly.
I'm really looking forward to it. Two of the greatest big men, two complimentary personalities. Both with great respect for the game and each other. I was thrilled when I heard it was being done. I didn't expect it to air so soon, I thought they might hold it for the Playoffs. Sunday works for me.

Wow wow wow wow. I usally keep things in perspective when it comes to sports. You know its just a game and it can't help you pay the rent or solve real world problems. But did I get moved when Russell told the story of J. Robinson and then told Tim how he feels about him. Wow Wow wow. F kobe, f shaq, f lerbron. f jordan. This is the man telling it how it is. Wow. I can't believe abc is going to air this. WOW.
knowing ABC, they'll somehow get Kobe or Lebron mentioned in the piece..

No stupid, it's the other way around. It's obvious Russell is dropping a hint for Duncan to go ahead and kill him.
I was wondering - my family and I went to the Spurs-Celtics game on March 20 and knew that Bill russell was there.
Russell : " Timmy, I like you, but not as much as KG; remember that interview I had with KG last season? It looked like I almost made love to him; well, I really wanted, I mean, it was the first time I had an erection since 1979 "
