Spurs are getting better offensively with the return of Ginobili and the acclimation of Gooden into the offense, but they've been a very shaky defensive team all year and that'll be their downfall. They just don't have the quickness on defense due to age and wear-and-tear to stay with the Lakers. , look at last night's game as a perfect example: http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=290403011
The Spurs shot 55% from the field (41% from 3), made 27-31 FTs (w/ 12 more attempts than Indiana), outrebounded Pacers by 9, had only 4 more TOs, and had nearly 7 players in double figures--yet they squeaked out a win against the 32-44 Pacers who have nothing to play for. In any other season if you were to look at that San Antonio boxscore alone you'd think they won by 30. They simply don't have the defense or the consistent offense to beat LA
oh haha im sorry man. my bad
yes, spurs do have a chance against the Lakers. Last year we got eliminated because we had alot of droughts, but hopefully this year we have players who can score for us when we do get in these droughts such as Matt Bonner and Roger Mason. Last year Mason wasnt on the Spurs and Bonner was a scrub. Manu wasn't 100%. This year we have proved that we can beat Lakers. The Lakers are really overrated.
Yes.
And the first step towards beating them is to buy a suit for J-Vaughn
By 1 point in San Antonio on a BS foul call on fisher. LA knows they can go into SA & win games. I highly doubt the spurs will take 4 games but we'll see. Face it, SA just doesn't match up well with the Lakers. Tim Duncan is sick & all but he cannot handle Gasol, Bynum, & Odom trio down low. LA also has another pretty good player named Kobe Bryant
. If SA doesn't shoot atleast 50% from three they will not win 2 games IMO.
Spurs are the favorites?
The Cavs are the favorites to win the championship. What are you talking about?

no they arent. the lakers are. the cavs would lose to the Lakes in the finals if they met.
Only with:
1 - A healthy Tim Duncan. Spurs fans have been delusional since the start of the season. Duncan has been a defensive hindrance and he hasn't been improving.
2 - Bowen, Mason and Manu to throw at Kobe.
Regardless, the Lakers are the favourites.
Duh! I know the Cavs would lose to the Lakers, but the Cavs are the favorites.
if both teams are health enough (ginobli and bynum) lakers will win. home court and lakers can throw bynum, gasol, odom at duncan spurs can only throw mason, ginobli at lakers, and if they throw bowen at them his defense helps but the spurs offense dies with him
no the Cavs are not favorites. because everyone knows they would lose to the Lakers in the Finals. so would the Celtics. THE LAKERS ARE THE FAVORITES
Celtics are the favorites if healthy.
With the way the playoffs are aligning, the Lakers could wind up doing a Texas "3" Step (Mavs 1st round, Rockets 2nd round, Spurs Finals). Has this ever happened before in the history of the playoffs?
No they are not. the Lakers swept them this season. beating them in Boston, on the 2nd game of a back to back and the third game in 4 days, with less then 24 hours rest between the Boston game and the game before it. That was done without our starting center. The Celtics were healthy for that game (they lost anyway) and the game in staples (which they also lost). The only teams that could beat the Lakers in the Finals are the Magic and the Bobcats, neither of which will make the Finals.
