I think you are en led to your opinion, even if it is unreasonable and ridiculous.

All of us are frustrated with how Pop has handled the rotations this year....but his track record for success speaks for itself. So while we are angry and bitter, as fans, who should we go get? I know, let's bring back Bob Weiss....how about Terry Porter....maybe Avery Johnson.....

The Spurs, even for all of their struggles, are currently the 3 seed in the Conference. Stop overreacting, take a chill pill, and relax.

Overreaction. Pop has been a fantastic coach for a decade. Cause of one questionable regular season you want to fire him? You must be out of your mind...

I unfortunately can't know what Pop is thinking with his coaching decisions right now. What I do know is that Pop still wants to win another championship and that those decisions are aimed at that goal, even if they are not working as we would hope right now. As it stands we will probably finish second or third in the West and will burn out in the playoffs against the Lakers. With the squad we have I don't think you can expect much better from them. That's the reality.

Pop has ed up the mentality of our players. That my friend, is a no-no
So much potential but bad coaching.
Mason was a beast....now hes a scrub just jacking up crazy shots.
Hill had it going...but he said no to sucking pop's . so he benched him

How soon people forget what he has done.

This year he doesn't have the players to fit his system as well as in the past. Matt Bonner our starting center? He doesn't fit into the twin tower concept and this team has really aged in the last two years. Pop is in a tough situaton and I really don't see Holt opening up the bank and going over the salary cap just to get Pop the type of players he wants.
This situation would have probably been if Splitter had come over rather than sign with Tau or at least maybe a healthy Ian. Who knows but it is what it is so we will have to live with more offensive firepower but less defensive prowness. Not exactly the style we've grown acccustomed to thats for sure.

I don't forget what he has done for the Spurs and the fans. But that is the past and this is the present. Over the past 12 games I believe we are 5-7 and I don't think this is going to end any time soon. Pop has lost it, we also need to get a younger coach for the future.

His plays still work, he just shows to much loyalty to veteran players like finley and vaughn.

His plays still work? "Timmy, score in the post." "Tony, drive to the hoop." "Manu, make something happen."

When a coach says "We're just not making shots" when his offense is the reason the shots are low-percentage shots, it pretty much proves he's lost his grasp on what's happening.

And what the is that anyway? "We're not hitting our shots"

It used to be that he would say that us hitting our shots is something we have no control over, but we Do have control on how we play DEFENSE!!!!!

WTF happened??????? Pop sold out and became Don Nelson!

You want to fire a coach who has the best winning percentage over the last decade because of a bad stretch of 12 games?

Since when did Spurs fans turn into whiny drama queens like Cowboys fans?

And yes I'm a fan of both team. Unfortunately I seem to be in the minority being level headed and all.

    Catch 22.

    A. Has Pop gone really senile?
    B. Or is he going CIA hardcore?

Either way, we are this close to lose HCA, and we can't afford to mess up with the rotations.

I think one of Pop's assistants need to challenge him.

    Really

Obviously you don't fire him, he isn't doing a great job but at the same time he doesn't have a cast that can perform up to our expectations. The only player performing at a great level is Parker.. If Manu and Tim were healthy, Bowen was younger and Splitter had come over(might as well throw in Mahinmi being healthy) then Pop would look much smarter

    please don't overreact!

we can do some minor tweeks before we are firing pop!

how about buying out tim duncan?

if that doesn't work, we still can look at other things!

seriously: I'd like to see avery as pops successor...but not before we got our fifth ship!
