    I don't post much but I like to read alot of the threads here...

    I've lived in Southern California my whole life. First basketball series I watched was a the 93-94 Finals when Hakeem DEMORALIZED Shaq, when I was 8 years old. I only watched because my was watching it. The following year was the first year I followed basketball. I became a Sonics fan because I became a Shawn Kemp fan and his above the rim style of play LOL. That year they went to the Finals.

    It wasn't until 96-97 that I began to watch the Lakers regularly. So many people would talk about the lakers and players like shaq, van exel, eddie jones, and kobe that it put me on notice. But I've been rooting for them ever since.

    I had the fortune to be in LA for the 01' and 02' finals and was able to celebrate in the parade. I wasn't able to make it last year because of the prices on the tickets were high, but who knows this year I might plan something. So far its looking pretty darn good.

    Sorry, guys, I don't see how it's ok to cheef for SC and UCLA. Raiders were my first team, then a tie between SC and the Lakers, followed by the Doyers.
