The Spurs must run the table. They'll need some help as well. Now how big is that Denver game where Pop rested everyone?

Denver Remaining : vs. Thunder, @Lakers, vs. Kings, @Blazers

    Current Record: 52-26

Spurs Remaining: @Thunder, vs. Jazz, vs. Blazers, @Kings, @Warriors, vs. Hornets

    Current Record: 49-27

If I were in Vegas anytime soon, smart money would be on the Nuggets to hold that 2 spot. I'm not certain the Spurs can get it done.

It matters little at this point what seed we are. Our current overall team philosophy is one that will lead us to failure regardless.

seeding is irrelevant at this point..we have much bigger problems than that..

as for the schedules..2 of those games for the Nuggets are locks as losses(LA, Portland)..I can't comment on the Spurs though, I have no idea which team will come out..OKC is the toughest game on the schedule though IMO..

Forget the 2 seed. We're in the PO's no matter what. I like our chances against any team except the Lakers, which is our only worry and the finals most likely will be through them.

That #2 seed is dead and gone. I honestly think Pop doesn't want it.

2nd seed isn't that important since Denver will be 2nd and we could very well beat them at their home court. What we really want now is 3rd seed. We do not want to slip past 4th and play Lakers in the second round.

If the Spurs run the table, I'd give them a 50/50 chance of getting the second seed. That @LAL and @Por games are going to be tough for Denver. Plus OKC and SAC are dangerous at this point of the season.

But running the table is going to definitely be a challenge.

Anything in the past 3-4 weeks indicate to you that we could do that? Confidence in this team is unfounded ATM. 2 losses to the Thunder during that same span isn't exactly inspiring either.

are you a troll? All I ever hear from you is negativity? I think you're not a Spurs fan at all. I think you just get on here to piss Spurs fans off. You may be right about this, but I've never heard you talk positive about the Spurs since I've been here.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind playing the Lakers in the second round. At least we'll be a lot less tired and hurting than we would if we played them in the WCF.

2 seed, 3 seed. Really doesnt matter right now. We were a 3 seed last yr and knocked out 2 seed New Orleans in the 2nd round.

and lost to LA in the finals. what's your point? the thing is to win it all not just a series or two.

The 5th seed is more likely than the 2nd seed.

My point is we made it to the WCF's last year as a 3 seed when many people around here thought we were going to go down in round 1 or even round 2.

Not really. Houston, Portland, New Orleans, and Utah all have more games against tougher teams than we do. We'll probably end up with the 3 seed, unless Denver totally messes up.

True. I doubt the Spurs will slide down that for in 6 games, but it would be nicer to only have home court in 1 series, but to get to face LAL after that 1 series. But then I think Pop might need 2 series to get the rotation right, it's whatever.

We're only one game up out of 4th seed. If we get down to 4th seed, we'll play LA in the second round.

Need to start gelling as a team ASAP! Won't matter which seed San Antonio gets if they don't figure out how to score some more points.

We could suck pretty bad, but Denver really does not worry me at all whatsoever. I would actually love to play them in the first round. Pretty much ensures smooth sailing to the second round without much wear and tear.

Barring injury, no matter what the standings are, we are not beating LA as things currently stand. Duncan with aching knees, Manu still playing hurt, Mason and Hill dropping off the radar thanks to Pop's unnecessary tinkering, Finley and Bonner being, well .. Finley and Bonner. No other team in the West can take LA out, which means we are gonna have to go through them. And right now we just don't have the horses.
