2009 Spurs = 1996 Dallas Cowboys

• The Spurs still have their Big 3, just like the 'Boys had their triplets.
• The Spurs supporting cast has deteriorated badly, mainly due to age, just like the Cowboys did because of free agency.
• The Spurs Big 3 are aging, just like the triplets were aging.
• The '96 Cowboys were 10-6, which is the basketball equivalent of 52-30, which the Spurs should finish close to.

The good news is the '96 Cowboys won their division and won their first round playoff game. The bad news is they haven't won a playoff game since then. Let's hope the Spurs will be dissimilar in this regard.

football is too tough to compare..I hate the Cowboys anyways, so them..

our team is similar to the post-injuries Celtics team, Duncan obviously being our Bird..also the 2003 Laker team, where Shaq-Kobe were still the same, but the rest of their rotation was lacking..

we'll need some tweaking, but the core will stay the same..it happens to every team..even the Bulls needed some tweaking after Michael returned..
