Whenever this question is asked in football....I always say no. But in basketball it might be different. The NBA team would win a series...but I bet UNC could take a game.
I heard one of the Michigan St. players say that in a post game interview and have often thought about that myself.
How do the best college teams matchup to the worst in the NBA? I'd imagine the NBA team would probably win, but I was damn impressed by the performance UNC put on last night.

The worst team in the NBA is probably the Queen, Clippers, or Wolves right now. The Bears and Durants have way too much talent for UNC to handle.

All NBA teams are made up of the best that college hoops had to offer. Even a scrub on any team was a college star.
UNC has 2 maybe 3 NBA role-players on the team.
So my guess is the Clippers would probably beat UNC by 40.
UNC would get curbstomped by any NBA team.
This is like asking "Could the Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Lakers?"
Hawes-Thompson- Nocioni- Kmart- Udrih would drop 200 on unc.

best players on unc, hansbrough is a energy guy at best, Lawson's ceiling is Raymont Felton, Ellington's ceiling is JJ red .

Agree. He's much, much better than Red even right now.
Even though UNC might have 4 NBA guys on their roster, that is a far cry from having 12-15 NBA guys on your roster. The T-Wolves 3rd string could probably destroy UNC.

lmao guys like Gomes, Miller, Jefferson, and even Rodney Carney would take a huge dump on any ncaa team.
Re is one of the best shooters to ever play basketball, he just isn't very good at creating his own shot, and is too much of a liability on defense and the Magic are too deep at his position for him to be much of a factor.

Tyler Hansbrough aka Mark Madsen 2.0 and his mates would get that ass twisted by any NBA team. UNC has a couple of everyday-NBA quality players, but just like any severely overrated UNC/Duke team, they're mostly made up of future Euro players and D-League projects. Get the outta here.
Half the players on UNC will be working in cubicles when this year is done.

It wouldn't even be close. UNC would get destroyed by the worst NBA team.
NBA or Euroleague team would crush them. They might be able to take some D League teams though because D league is very terrible level. Much worse than level of Spanish league, Greek league, Italian league, Russian league, Adriatic league for example. So they might be able to win in D League.
