We might as well sign VANESSA Williams.
It's serious. I'm working on the details...
It is a serious post. The broadcast guy at the Toros game said it.
Who gets cut to make room though? Hairston?
First, Marcus Williams is a stud.
Second, Spurs have a full roster. Will they waive someone or will they get a roster exception with Manu's injury ?
Thanks Bruno and tav1. Appreciate the info.
, why not?
Since Manu is out for season, does that open up an actual roster spot, which is why they're looking at Williams?
Actually, I thought they'd just recall Malik Hairston back. Does that mean Hairston likely wont get a call up?
I havent seen much of him this year, how's he been doing? Anyone think he can make somewhat of an impact?
Id like to see Hairston and Marcus Williams in a Spurs uniform....
Either hairston has been cut or oberto or vaughn has been cut. I'm betting on hairston.
If he's so good then why has he been in Austin for so long? And does this mean Malik will be the man in Austin? I was hoping the Spurs would just re-call him.
Interesting. Wonder if this will be a multi-year contract.
Which Marcus Williams are we talking about? The PG or the SF that the Spurs drafted a couple of seasons ago?
different marcus Williams.
I assumed the 6,7 forward...
Small forward
you are right....my bad
So any way he could make an impact immediately or is this more of a long-term move? Anyone?
1. Is this the same Marcus Williams who washed out as the Spurs' 2d round pick last year?
2. If signed would he be eligible for the postseason?
3. Is he better than Malik Hairston in the Spurs' system?
Correct me if I'm wrong but someone would have to be waived, yes?
Recent write up on Marcus Williams:

waived or an exception
no press releases yet...
I was just pondering why no one had picked him up. With Oberto's heart problems they may have cut him as he would likely retire after the season anyway. Cutting Hairston doesn't make much sense IMO. His ceiling seems much higher.
