I'm starting to see signs that the Lakers may have another Trevor Ariza on their hands.

Insane athleticism, natural defensive instincts, excellent finisher at the rim....all he needs to do is work on that jumpshot like Ariza did over the summer and he's a keeper.

I'd much rather see him get minutes over Fartmar or Vujabrick, that's for damn sure. Both of those imbeciles need to be jettisoned in the off season for whatever the Lakers can get.

That comment is too dumb for me to seriously respond to.

    And Yao is soft.

the lakers did not find Pau Gasol. they traded for him after Pau already established himself as one of the best PF in the league.
Bynum might be the only gem they actually found. and maybe Vujacic, too
Ariza? if his 9ppg with an amazing 32% 3point shooting stat is considered "gem" to you, i guess the rockets had like 5 gems in hand

Shannon Brown is turning out to be a really nice defender at the point. Definitely better defensively than Farmar.

Only weakness I've seen so far is his lack/reluctance to shoot the outside shots. Defensive specialist sounds about right so far...and his defense leads to his own scoring it seems.

Haven't seen too much of him actually running the PG job yet. And damn, this fool can jump through the roof.

You do know you got swept this year, right ?
truth hurts right? Ariza is just a scrub and he will be the reason why Lakers will not win the championship (unless of course PJ limits his role in the playoffs)

They didn't find a gem. He just seems like one after watching the pile of crap known as Jordan Farmar.

I will do that trade again today if i had the chance. hes the best defensive player in the league and hes the reason why houston is so good in defense. besides, im not too confident that rudy gay could hit the clutch 3 pointers that Battier was routinely hitting against the lakers

Hey Rocket fan, its ok to hate the Lakers, us Spurs fans do....but they have been to the Finals 5 times since 2000, and are the favorites to get back there this year, unfortunately. Meanwhile the Rockets cant get out of the first round, that is when they make the playoffs.

lets see who will be the one laughing when kobe would be triple-teamed and he would pass it out to a teammate only to find Ariza bricking yet another jumper

Ya those "clutch" 3's really came in handy. Leading your team to all those losses.

Ariza is a solid role player, nothing special. He fits well with our system though... much like Battier.
I wish the Spurs had Ariza and Battier. That would be sweet.

those clutch 3s did not cause the loss. its just kobe was too good. maybe you should use some logic?

and yet we are still currently ahead of you in the standings. im not talking . i am just trying to bring you back to reality, my good man. LA and SA are the two team in the West who have been dominant over the past decade. i find it silly for other teams fans to try and insult them and make them out to be mediocre.....cause if LA and SA are mediocre and have dominated, what does that say about the teams they are dominating.

Ya I'm sure they really feel bad about that coming from a Rockets fan. Every year this decade is a bad year to talk for you.

Hes just drunk on that victory tonight. He'll sober up in the monring and realize how stupid he sounds.
i hate your team with a passion....it sickens me to see them back atop the standings. but hey, at least i can respect the history and success of your franchise, even if i loath the team.
