Hahaha.
All this talk about Mexican food forced me to change plans for dinner.
I was supposed to make grilled chicken sandwiches, but I somehow found my way to Taco Tote.
That place has like 20 different salsas and they're all good.
Papas con carne FTMFW!
And, just to jump in, I ing HATE nopales. I tried it while visiting my best friend's mom in El Valle. Even her amazing tortillas de harina couldn't make up for the foul, mushy I had put in my mouth.

They sell chile piquin at HEB while in season. I saw it not three days ago at the one on S.W. Military and Pleasanton. The have the serranos and jalapenos and way at the top in small plastic bags the piquins.
No . Like when stupid Mexicans from the Valley wear shirts that say "Brooklyn" on them.
I made some picadillo this morning.
I bet it's good huh?![]()
I did have rice, beans, and tortillas last night for dinner. Thank you for the inspiration.
The one thing I really don't like about san antonio is that the mexican food here is terrible. It is way too white bread and watered down.

San Antonio doesn't have much real Mexican food available in restaurants; mostly all TexMex.
