This is old news.
Time warner can suck my balls, looks like its ATT or bust in SA!
Update: Time Warner finally got back to me to clarify a few points. First, the important stuff: They will create a “super tier” that offers up to 100 GB before overage charges apply, but they haven’t yet decided how much it will cost. Also, Time Warner will monitor downloads starting in April but the actual metered billing in San Antonio and Austin, Texas, will begin in September. Three months before they plan to charge folks under the tiered plans, they will notify customers, offer them a meter and let them see how the metered billing will affect them.

Any other good broadband internet services you know about?
Maybe, but that doesn't mean you have to bend over and take it....
Considering AT&T is moving towards this too, your choices are BOHICA or no internet connection if you live in the 98% of SA that doesn't have Grande.
Does anyone know what happen to the tv guide channel? I have basic cable and it used to be on channel 77 but I cannot find it anywhere anymore.
Someone at work was complaining about this, but no one had an answer to where it went or if it even existed anymore.
Thanks for the response. I looked on yahoo t.v. listings and it was listed there, for what ( if anything) that is worth.
Move to an apartment buy one of these and your www is free.

My guess is that TV Guide tried to up their rates, and TWC dropped them like a stone, figuring they already have their built-in guide function.
That is because people in your apt are too stupid to block access.
The www should be free anyway so if your paying for it who is really stupid?
Must be a sign from God. Channel 77 is evil.
I'm on that stupid price lock contract, If they put the limit can I cancelled and say they change the contract on me. When I got it I wanted the fastest speeds they had and I was told I could but had to get on price lock for it to be cheaper.
Very likely. I did not think of that.
It's all time Warner trying to cash in on streaming video that will put its ty cable TV service out of business. You're screwed either way with AT&T and Time Warner on internet access, but might as well tell them to off and go to satellite for your TV.
I blame Beaumont, Texas. They were the test city, had more people to TW they would have second thought this.![]()
If Time Warner could they would charge by how many times you post in a forum.
I would owe them tons!![]()
It should only be free if yer a republah... repoblik ... not a democrat.
you realize that prople will probably start securing their wireless after this bull starts right?
If they use WEP it'll just be a false sense of security.
So I emailed them about not liking the decision to meter the net and this is what I got back.

WEP Cracking...Reloaded
http://www.pascal-kenis.net/01_websi.../Page8of12.htm
In our ages, most of the providers give out protection in there wifi modem.
Unfortunately most of these wifi boxes apply WEP crypting by default if we activate the wireless.
It is likely known that this protection has passed deadline... week and easily crackable. A small hour is enough to crack a 128 bytes WEP key ( packets capture + crack) and barely more for a 256 bytes key with aircrack.
So I give to you a little tutorial that will help test out your wireless network, and most likely convince you to change to WPA crypting. (vidéo crack wep )

Yup, WEP sucks balls. If you're not using WPA you're screwed. They put way too few keys in the WEP scheme.
