I'd say he's the 2nd best PG, slightly over Williams..
Is just fooling themselves. Dude is a beast...Best PG in the league right now..period...if you don't know, you better ask somebody.
I'd say he's the 2nd best PG, slightly over Williams..
Right now though, man..no way CP3 is playing better than Tony right now.
refer to first post
When i read the thread le i thought for sure sequ started it
definitely the best scorer of the three, and that's what's often the most important.
paul with 42, 7 and 9....that is pretty good. Parker had afew games like that.
Hornets look TERRIBLE now. What happened to chandler? Posey is looking bad, and Paul and West have to carry the team.
I'd say Parker and Deron are about equal. Parker is faster and better scorer. Deron is a better passer.
CP3 is the best PG in the league, even though I think he's a prick.
cp3 sucks ass on defense, all he does is camp in the passing lanes, one on one hes a joke. I wonder why he gets a free pass on that.![]()
Dwills D is awesome, TP a close second.
So overall the race is very close between these three, but most of the clowns are content to say Cp3 1, dwill 2 , tp9 3, without even watchin games, and watchin only sportscenter highlights.
what I have a problem with and so does pop
the media mentions cp3 and williams and leaves out tp
media is a , and then they gave some lame ass excuse saying, its coz tp has been in the league longer and so they expect him to be great. But these are young and upcoming, so they are given more exposure.tp is 26 and in his priime. Its jus that bspn doesnt highlight the spurs, end of story.
who's on the cover of NBA Live 09?
nuff said
Anyone who says Deron Williams is better than Tony... can suck on my balls.
Paul with 42, 7, and 9...IN A LOSS. That's all you need to know. Usually when TP scores more than 30..we win. But of course the media always hypes CP3, D-Will... even Steve Nash over TP, which is stupid. But oh well, Tony will keep doing his thing.![]()
the media is irrelevant..
Duncan was at worst a top 2 player in the NBA from '99 until 2005, and a top 4 player in 2006 and 2007..but obviously all we heard from the media was Shaq(deserved), Kobe, Iverson, Vince, McGrady..nobody talked about Tim..
Tony seems to get the same lack of attention from the media..it's all about Paul, and sometimes Deron..the finals MVP is often forgotten..
Chris Paul and Deron Williams...2 guys who havent achieved anything in their careers yet. TP has been an all-star, 3-time champion, and Finals MVP. Yet, no love.![]()
LMAO Posey gets paid 25 million over the next 4 years. How bad is the hornets FO.
This lack of exposure partly helped in his development. Hope it stays that way with the media.
I say TP strictly based on skills is 2. Accomplishments obviously there's no comparison. But id go
1-cp3 ( i really almost hate him, hes such a faker-kind of like kobe-he acts one way to the media in interviews and stuff, but he's totally not like that....kids a punk. Still remember in college when he purposely hit that guy on duke in the nuts-such a . And just watch his facial expressions, hes a whiny at ude filled .ha
2-Parker
3-williams
Tony > DWill
actually today's Deron is not as great as Tony Longoria but the time will change that gradually. Tony Longoria is gonna lose his quickness and his speed year by year as the time elapse, while the prime is right approaching towards Deron who is much younger than Tony Longoria.
Deron's style of playing games also makes him more insensitive to age than Tony Longoria. those speed-first guards always lose their abilities very quickly after they get across 33, but Deron uses his strength much more that his speed. so Deron will have a longer prime than Tony Longoria's, the skills won't be affacted much by age though.
TP Born: 17 mai 1982
Deron Born: 26 juin 1984
what a difference
the ranking of the PG should be one of the most interesting thing since everyone keep trying it.
they have one ranking in yahoo sport:
http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/play...098&src=sports
amazing how they almost ignore tony. they put him at 3, because obviously, the way he's playing right now, they can't pass on him, but almost don't talk about him.
Kenny Smith got 1.CP3 2.D-Will 3 TP 4. Billups 5. Kidd but for him, it's a two men race between CP3 and D-Will.
Hope he saw the game yesterday. and when i saw Stern MVP ballots having Billups at 5
i really don't like ranking because this is always too much simplistic. but hearing Smith saying that TP doesn't belong in the same category than CP3 and D-Will because he's not good enough defensively is just BS.
Billups and Kidd are good defensive PG. Tony in PO is more than decent. and he for sure has nothing to envy to CP3 and D-Will in this area. CP3 is a gambler and D-Will, despite his strenght, isn't so good.
i would say, considering these 5 PG:
scoring: 1/TP 2/CP3 3/D-Will 4/Billups 5/Kidd
Passing skills: 1.Kidd 2.CP3 3.D-Will 4.Billups and TP
Overall offensive impact : 1.CP3 2.TP 3.D-Will 4. Billups and Kidd
Defense: 1. Billups and Kidd 3. TP, CP3 and D-Will
Clutch: 1. TP and Billups 3. CP3 4. D-Will 5. Kidd
