I didn't say it was a bad call. It just hurt at time of the game.
Rebounding was the difference in this game. Shooting was even on both sides. FTs two. Difference was Mavs had way more shot attempts. That's why they won in the end.

Mavs do not match up well with the Hornets, right after the Lakers.
I know Chris Paul is a top 5 player but against Kidd, he doesn't have to work on the other end at all.
Oh give me a break. We won the damn game.
It wouldn't surprise me if Dallas win. They're playing with more energy right now. That's why they rebounded so well. Plus, Howard is a tough matchup for us.
I know West had 20 and 14, but he was 8-20 from the field. He needs to attack the basket more. When he settles for jumpers, we lose one less person in the paint to rebound. No reason to settle for jumpers against Dampier or Dirk. He needs to attack them.
that and the fact that our other "former all star" scored his typical 9 points and NO ONE else (other than Paul and West as usual) scored over 5 points .... yes you heard me right ... Paul 42, West 20, Peja piss poor 9, and NO ONE ELSE scored over 5 ING POINTS! LOL
son you or I could get out there and put up at least a 10 point game against Kidd ... my god he sucks
He is a liability offensively in the playoffs. Teams will lay off of him and if Terry and Howard aren't scoring, the Mavs will be in big trouble. Kidd was a liability offensively for the Nets in the Finals. If he shot halfway decently, they might have beaten the Spurs.
Somehow he farted out 15 assists.
Irrelevant. he's still a valuable contributor to the team. It is NOT addition by subtraction if Kidd leaves. I'll take Kidd over Barea tyvm.
He and Erika could build a mansion with their bricks.
West should have had alot more. He was only 8-20 from the floor. It took him 20 shots to get 20 points while Paul got 42 on 24 shots. Butler was atrocious today. He missed wide open jumpers and got abused by Howard in the first quarter just like Brewer abused him Sunday night in the first. It seems he can only make shots when he doesn't have to think about it. However, leave him wide open and he psychs himself out. Mental midget.
Barea is just too short or else he would be a good player.
Let's be serious sons. Idk if you've only watched Kidd 3 times this year, but this isn't '03 when he shot 34% from 3.
Congratulations to all those who made the astute and completely obvious point that Chris Paul is better than Jason Kidd. Thanks for figuring that out.
Hornets don't look nearly as good as they did last year.
Hey, how did Devin Harris do tonight?
Of course he's better than JJ. But in the playoffs his offense will be a liability.
The Nets look like a darkhorse in the east.
LMAO at you son! .... you are talking about people pointing out the obvious that Paul is better than Kidd .... but then you turn around and do the same damn thing! son thanks for pointing out that the Hornets don't look as good as they did last year!!!! thanks for figuring that out!!!!
Yes, but Kidd could do more, he doesn't even attempt to post him up. Whatever, yeah yeah "Kidd is great, he's a great leader, he's got so many intangibles"
It's not, but teams will continue to leave him wide open just like the Hornets did tonight. Hopefully he will connect.
Well that's the point isn't it. We have gaping holes at 2 guard and a center who can score as is, if Kidd walks we're left with a 5'10 point guard and another roster hole, even though JET can play some point. resigning Kidd is critical if this team wants to do anything next season (don't think there's much a chance regardless, just hoping for miracle trades with the expirings).
As findog said, we already knew Paul is better than Kidd.
I know the West is full of young quick guards, but Paul will be stuck on a 40 win team next year so we shouldn't worry about him too much![]()
And that strategy is incorrect. Kidd shoots 40% from the arc this year and has a pretty solid true shooting % despite very few free throw attempts. They should play him for the drive more so than the shot.
He just didn't make a few shots tonight, no big deal. Rims were not friendly to the Mavs tonight, saw a lot of missed shots in immediate basket area and in and outs.
Who's a worse shooter- Antoine Wright or Devean George?
Sons don't get upset that your team is a one-year wonder and proved to be a bit of a fluke. Anybody can make some lucky shots son and win a playoff series over a declining has-been.
