I would've said 1995.
I'll go with 2001.
Starting from 2000
I would've said 1995.
I'll go with 2001.
2001 playoffs, or 2001-2002 season? 2001 playoff team got ing destroyed.
My fave was 2004 playoff team.
they destroyed everyone besides the lakers i really liked that team also
favorite was 2004 i think we had the most talent that year
I would have said the 96-97 team.......cause they played with so much heart, even though they sucked.....David was hurt. Elliott was hurt. Nique was old and fat. Those guys never quit, even though they were outmatched night after night.
since 2000........I would say last year's team. We had our chances in the postseason but choked. Still, of all the teams that didn't win, last years team came the closest.
1. 2008
2. 2000 (Duncan's injury ruined a great chance to repeat)
3. 2004
4. 2006
5. 2002
6. 2001
I would say 2005-2006 is mine.
2006, since the 2004 team dropped 4 straight after winning 18 in a row.
2006: If it hadn't been for a Game 7 squeaker with the Mavs, we'd have creamed the Heat in the Finals.
2004: But Derek Fisher's 0.4 shot hurt even more.
2006
That was a good team that ran into a team that was made to beat the spurs, coached by a guy who knew everything about the Spurs. They also seemed to shoot 80% everytime we played them.
2002....ooops.
I meant the one without Derek Anderson and with rookie Parker.
We got rid of Avery and Samaki Walker, and kept Antonio Daniels and Malik Rose.
We lost Sean Elliott and welcomed Bruce Bowen.
It was the beginning of the new Spurs team, just add Ginobili.
And even still, the Spurs had a 3-point lead in Game 7 with just twenty seconds remaining.
2006.
That should've been the first back to back champion.
I would have said one of the earlier teams with Silas & Gervin, or Moore and Gilmore.
Like 1979 or 1983, and even 1995 but to follow the the thread le 2006 would be my choice.
2006. I still can't believe we lost to the Mavs that year.
hmmm, i can tell this thread is a bit of a stretch but i'll play:
the 2006 team. the addition of nick van exel and michael finley put them over the top until the mavs shocked them in the 2nd rd. i thought they had that in the bag though
NVE sucked for the Spurs, sorry
Well, it's outside the "post-2000" requirement, but David's rookie year. That team was awesome. I still remember the Rod Strickland pass, and that series with the Blazers...
The 2006 Spurs were ing badass.
2004. That was a great team done in by the Sacramento King finally coming out in Hedo Turkoglu.
