That was I. A GI JOE fan back then. I was refering to his hard picks when giving that name, not his speed. His boards and blocking definitely positives.
Your comment can easily be debated as Gooden could be declared the 2nd best rebounder based upon his overall body of work. Perhaps you should have said. "Try actually watching only the games that I watched were Thomas did a good job of rebounding." That we make more sense than your previous portentous post.

oh, misread, i thought roadblock as in 'no good for anything but causing the spurs to stumble'. i thought it was a dis. haha, oops
All good, i can see how that can happen. thomas is one of my favs!
hes got an expiring next year at around 4 million. could be a valuable trade piece or a pure salary dump situation.
roadblock is a solid nickname..look at the screens he sets..
Sorry, I only watch Spurs players and games. Gooden's "body of work" before he got here interests me not at all.
KT may be the best in the league at blocking shots at shoulder height or below. He has three tonight.
his timing on blocks and rebounds is amazing..
i hope the Spurs keep him, his work ethic and defensive presence is needed. He reminds me of Charles Oakley
I agree, maybe his crazy eyes help him predict the future.
Kurt has been great since about 6 weeks into the season, I'd say our 3rd best player this year after Tony and Tim (Manu's season was crueled by injury), and will be back to play 15-20mins a game again next year, next to Tim, Ian, and probably Matt.
I think Gooden will take the money elsewhere, although if we can get him for a reasonable price he'd be a good scoring big off the bench.
I've always liked Thomas, and had a lot of respect for his strength inside. I thought he was gassed at the beginning of the season, because I didn't realize how bad his injury was. But he has been a beast for this team since he got healthy, and he's been very consistent about knocking down shots from mid-range, which we desperately need. There are times when the other team is going small that he might not be a good matchup. But we are going to play teams with respectable big men, and KT is strong, tough, and smart in the low blocks. It's hard for me to understand the disrespect he gets from some Spurs fans.
I don't know what the salary considerations will look like, but we could do a of a lot worse than having him coming off the bench.
KT got 8 offensive rebounds tonight and led the teams +/- with +16
To me, it's amazing that a guy that has probably 1" of elevation gets so many rebounds. That's both being strong and being smart about positioning/boxing out. I wish Bonner had 1/3 of the smarts/strength.
I really hope he stays next year, since our team should be better..I really want the guy to get a ring..
Where would the Spurs be without KT, specially with Timmy hobbled the past couple of months? He's been the Spurs best big man and gets the job done. period.
I'm hoping we hold on to him til his contract expires, then look for youth.
