they almost beat cavs in cleveland and im pretty sure aldridge was out for that game, maybe batum too. they lost in overtime.
Didn't know that...
Damn their future does look bright, but too bad they'll have to go through the Cavaliers & the Lakers over the next decade.![]()

If only they made the right pick and got Durant.
Imagine if they had Durant on that team. Also, what was Minnesota thinking, taking Randy Foye over Brandon Roy?
Do you guys think Roy is a first tier player?(Top 10 in the NBA)
Roy isn't yet but mostly because there are so many guys better than him:
Lebron/Kobe/DWade/CP3/Duncan/KG/Dwight/Yao/Dirk/Kevin Durant/Tony Parker
That's all the guys I could think of in 15 seconds, there's probably more I've forgot.
I think the problem with Roy that keeps him from becoming elite is because he's like Lamar Odom, good at alot of things but not great at any 1 thing.
That's because Olden missed a lot of games![]()
C'mon man, you're comparing Lamar to Roy? Odom is like a scrub compared to Roy...
Roy is a SG and the only SG's that i can think of right now who are better than Roy are Kobe & Wade.
And, as we've seen more than once this season, Roy is capable of outplaying Bryant.
Though, as we've seen in seasons past, Bryant is capable of outplaying Roy.
Nah, not comparing the two in that sense. As much as I like Odom, Roy's bettah.
But it's the fact that both are jacks of all trades as opposed to specialists that brings commonality to the two.
LeBron, Kobe,Wade are all great scorers and good defenders.
CP3 is an assist man and scorer
DHo is a block and rebound machine
Dirk/Yao/Tony Parker/Kevin Durant are scoring machines
What's Roy's specialty?
You just said Tony Parker is better than Roy.
I realize you're trolling/sputtering-over-defensively, but: at what?
Tony Parker IS better than Brandon Roy, what are you spouting about?
WTF is "at what?" supposed to mean? Form a complete sentence.
Tony Parker's specialty is scoring at a very high percentage.
Tony Parker is the #1 FG% guard in the NBA (of all the point guards and shooting guards that actually score a good bunch).
Yet he scores less than Roy.
Much like Roy scores slightly less, but at a notably higher percentage, than does Kobe Bryant.
Bob Lanier, is this a joke? TP is clearly better than Roy. Watch the damn game.
We're not just talking about more or less (Tony shoots fewer shots than Roy).
We're talking about being #1 FG% of ALL scoring guards, that's Tony Parker.
Kobe Bryant faces double & triple teams as does LeBron and Wade. Brandon Roy does not usually even get a double team.
That must explain why he was able to torch Kobe last week, then - he was playing him one-on-one.
And that one game proves that Roy is a better guard than Kobe Bryant?
Oh, wait...better than TP....wait...
What the are you arguing here exactly, that Roy is the best guard around?
Kobe hasn't played well in Portland since 2005, even before Brandon Roy was in the NBA.
B-Roy is definitely one of the top 10 players in the league.
Shut up, homer.
He's good. He's no Top 10.
Doesn't mean much....the Western Conference was banged up pretty bad this season. The Blazers were bound to get a few extra wins. That is why seeds 2-7 were so even until recently, with all West teams banged up, it's hard for the good teams to look that much better than the mediocre teams....
Not impressed. Portland will go home in the first round, but hey at least they made the playoffs.
