Nope. If the Spurs win and Mavs win tomorrow...they will meet up in the 1st round as the 3 vs. 6 seeds, regardless of what Portland does tomorrow night.

no because if we win and the blazers win, they own the tiebreaker for having beat us 3 times to one. they'd be 3rd, we'd be 4th.
Have you not watched TV or read any of the articles on here at all? Someone back me up here.. All you have to know is...if the Spurs win and Mavs win tomorrow...the Spurs will meet them in the playoffs, regardless of what Portland does.

San Antonio will be seeded:
• #3 if Spurs win and Rockets lose.
• #4 if Spurs win, Rockets win and Blazers lose.
• #5 if Spurs lose OR if Rockets and Blazers win.

Seeding and Dallas vs. Houston aside, we need to have a better showing against the Hornets this time around.
its a new rule this year if the divison winner has the same record the a non divsion winner no matter how the series went during the season the divison winner automatically gets the advantage against the trailblazers even if the beat us 3 times and even if denver beat us twice it just really matters who wins that game who we play if we get to the second round
i want seed #4 against the rockets.

Portland game will still make sense. If spurs, rockets and Blazers win, we'll be the #5 seed playing in Rose Garden....

Nope...if the Spurs win and the Mavs beat the Rockets, the Spurs are SW Division Champs and automatic 3rd seed, no matter what happens in Portland.

Oregonian had the scenario breakdown for Portland with eight possible scenarios...Portland and San Antonio meeting in the first round accounted for five of the possible scenarios with only one giving San Antonio home court (Portland loses, Houston wins, San Antonio wins).
If Portland and Houston both win tonight, then it's guaranteed that San Antonio opens up at Portland. If Portland wins and Houston loses, then Portland and San Antonio don't meet in the first round. And finally, if Portland and San Antonio both lose tonight, then San Antonio opens up at Portland.

Amen, Mavs are the team I'd be looking forward to be playing in the first round. Blazers are too dangerous with Ginobli out.
We could take the Blazers, but it would be tough. I'd rather face the Mavs just because it would be a better series.
I don't give a who we play..If we fear playing anyone in the first round, we might as well not even suit up. Whether it's Portland, Dallas, or Houston, we'll take them on, and win. I don't care who it is. Bring them on.
