I'm down.
LOL at Perry finding his ballsack all of a sudden. What an act. :golfclap
Of course you are, America hater.
i think perry has committed treason. Can an acting governor suggest secession? all kidding aside what in the is perry thinking?
Perry is doing his best to lock up the Texas arch-conservative vote, what with the primary against K Bailey coming up.
game, set, match.
Anyone with half a brain knows that when you see Rick ing Perry attached to anything, there is a deeper pragmatic motive for his long term monetary and/or political gains. I agree with the move, but, really, he's doing this to try to win the Governorship. And at the very least, he's doing this for future national political positions, senator, and eventually president.
This guy wants to be president one day. And, like kobe, I hope both his knees explode before that day ever happens.
whatta f'ing idiot. does he have any idea what TX independence would mean? TX would support itself after a while, but then we would get sick of eating just corn and citrus. The US would tax the out of our imports and exports, and we would get all our food from the gulf of mexico (cut off by the US) and mexico.
I'm sure company HQ's would move out of TX too to stay in conform to US taxes etc.
It's a nice little fantasy that Texans hold onto to make themselves feel special.
This is exactly the type of event in which it is useful.
Why do you assume a reasonable import export system is implausible? Oh yeah, because this is crazy world.
Yes. Gov. Goodhair otherwise hasn't had a problem conspiring with the New World Order to sell out Texas.
He's not Presidential material. I'm tempted to say he isn't even Senatorial, but John Cornyn is still serving, so who knows?
Secession is probably not on the path to 1600 Penn. It seems like he wants to stick around in Austin a little bit longer.
Can Kay Bailey beat him?
I would think so.
What issue do you think Slick Rick will use next on her Matroness? I can think of one....
I'm not clairvoyant. Spill, already.
In what sense?
That was a throw away. What were you thinking of?
Terminating motherhood, as it were.
Oh that. Perry could win standing on that?
I want what Rick Perry is smoking.
It would seem to follow embracing state's rights. I forget if KBH has faced a serious challenge from a social conservative for her Senate seat, so I have no idea as to the efficacy. KBH's brand of Republicanism is better suited for the suburbs than the hinterlands. At some point I'm sure Perry will explicitly beat up on her as being part of the DC establishment.
Of course, I'm not going to spend any time researching this matter.
