Supposedly according to inside sources Kim already works for the FBI. So we are going to be seeing alot more of her.

Great episode. There was actually some tension to the first part with Tony sneaking around because I was still convinced he might get killed. You don't get that with Jack anymore. It's not a matter of if, but when he'll get the job done.

And in retrospect, I really should have seen that final twist coming. They started talking about pardoning Tony and sort of bringing around a redemptive end to his story arc, so it was either time for him to fade out of the season or find something new to do. And Larry and Renee were all like, "We need to talk about us, yadda yadda yadda", (all over FBI comms no less!) so him getting whacked shouldn't have been a huge shocker.

Tony's going to need a very good villain speech to make any sense of what the 's doing though. He's got to have a very specific target picked out for that canister if he was going to bother torching Hodges missiles but still had a plan to get his hands on some.

And I didn't grind my teeth nearly as much as I thought I would with Kim's arrival, but there's still plenty of time left. Hopefully she and Renee will turn to each other with the loss of Larry and Jack's impending doom and emotionally support each other by making out like drunken spring breakers in the shower.

I think I knew when Moss took off the handcuffs, either Tony was going to run away or something like this would happen.

The reunion between Kim and Jack was very touching.

    some thoughts...

Jack isn't out of commission for this season yet. True, he turned down the stem cell treatments, but i think kim is not going anywhere . Either she's going to be kidnapped by Cougar terrorists, or Jack will wind up getting the stem cells.

Maybe this is why. When Jack learns that Tony "killed" Larry and is up to something, he may get the treatment because he knows nobody else could put an end to this. I doubt Jack would have the treatment just to go after Hodge's mysterious boss.

After a meh episode last week this one certainly delivered. But I had the same eary feeling about Tony when he was creeping through the compound. I just didn't feel as confident with him as with Jack like you said. I was on the edge of my seat when Tony was following the lead bad guy around to the tanks. But I kinda had a weird feeling when the black guy said he wanted to do another sweep. Even the lead guy gave him that wtf look.

Whatever target Tony has picked out has to be government, since he's so against killing innocent civilians.

I honestly don't even know what's going on

Why would Tony blow up a giant bomb, and kill a bunch of his own men, in order to turn on the Governemnt. I mean he easily could of been killed by Starkwood, yet he was on their side all along? And if he was on their side, why would they have to deceive him like they did and how would he not know where the bombs were in the first place. It doesn't make much sense to me.

When Jack learns that Tony "killed" Larry
Larry was quite dead, and at Tony's hand, no need for the quotes.

With the shocker leading into the first commercial break being that Renee has a penis, thus giving PW and Atrain nightmares for the rest of their lives.

Within the next three hours. If he actually puts a bullet in her then I will start a letter writing campaign to President Obama to lobby for not only expunging his criminal record, but creating a Tony Almeida monument to be built outside of Wrigley Field, the founding of a Tony Almeida Foundation to provide counseling and support to ex-federal agents whose wives are killed by complex conspiracies headed by corrupt government officials, and the designation of every 24th day of every month as Tony Almeida Day. That way every December people will come together in the spirit of harmony and love to remember and cherish the true meaning of the season: For God so loved the world that he sent Tony Almeida to kill Kim Bauer.

I thought your response was going to be how long before Kim takes herself hostage.

Just a thought! Since anything can happen on a tv show like 24 how about this twist: Tony actually didn't kill Larry! Huh?? What if Tony wanted Larry out of the way so he could go on with his plan (whatever it is), but did't want to kill him. If you replay that scene again Tony kind of takes one more glance at Larry when he's walking away as if apologizing for doing this. What if Tony slipped a "pill" in Larry's mouth that would make Larry appear dead? Isn't this what happened to Tony when everyone thought he was dead? He was injected with some drug to make him look dead. Tony's hand was over Larry's mouth so he could've dropped a pill.

    What do ya'll think??

Moss is dead, he had that "flash before his eyes" look on his last breath. If he's still alive that'd be the dumbest thing.

What would be the dumbest thing, that he had that "flash before his eyes" look or that he would be alive? Like another poster wrote, why would Tony go to all that trouble of blowing up the missiles? Just saying, I wouldn't put it past the producers to come up with this story line.........just saying!

like when it starts getting nice out (remember I'm in Ohio) the last thing I want to do is watch TV. When this season will be ending it will be like 70 and nice outside and the playoffs will be good. I know it's on at 9, but still.

Tony working for the same shadowy group that was behind Hodges finally brings this season to what I like to call the Moment of Jenga, where so many pieces have been moved around and thrown back in that the whole thing just collapses under the weight of the producers design.

I can understand Tony torching the missiles and stealing the canister. Hodges stupidity was threatening to expose them; they didn't want a full out war but at least needed some of the bioweapon so they could reproduce it later for whatever the they want. That's fine. But what the blonde clone lawyer (who apparently wears the exact same glasses prescription as the dead blonde lawyer, who was really hot.) said about Tony being "the lone bright spot" makes no damn sense. If they were behind all of this garbage then Tony introducing the elements that captured the CIP device and passing along intel that ultimately thwarted the attack on the White House doesn't seem to help anyone over there.

The only explanation I can even stretch to come up with at this point is that that was all Hodges little private endeavor, "they" found out, felt that it was too big of a risk, and "they" got Tony to undermine the operation. Even that's pretty thin.

And the FBI's EMT needs to be fired. "Mr. Almeida's wound was consistent with a 9 millimeter." I don't know if your average EMT can figure out the caliber of a weapon just by looking at the size of the wound, but I would think that anyone with half a brain would notice the powder burns all over Tony's clothes and skin consistent with a point blank, self inflicted gun shot wound.

Even with all of that, I still enjoyed this episode. For starters, next to no President Dumbskank. And just as little of Kim thankfully. Easjer's theory is that the grandkid was introduced because we'll find out that Kim and Steve, whoever the he is, saved the cord blood, and that's what they can use for saving Jack instead of exposing Kim to whatever nebulous risk Jack was so worried about.

And honestly, I kind of like Evil Tony. Has any one person ever gotten the better of Jack so totally as when Tony played the, "Looking for this?", card on Jack as he started shaking. Most importantly, as Jack desperately looked for his meds while beginning to convulse, could that be considered "search and seizure"?

I'm guessing that this shadowy organization has connections to the guy that killed Tony's wife and the only reason he's doing all this is because he gave up caring about others in his quest for revenge. Remember he works for the blonde not the organization

    Good guess.

And Jack will undergo the treatment BECAUSE Tony, realizing Jack is the ONLY threat to the plans will take Kim as insurance against Jack getting the treatment - Jack will use the cord blood (or blood from the Baby itself) to right himself and take out Tony.

I think Kim buys the farm, however.

Well.... the whole thing with the CIP and the WH attack could have been them letting Duma do his thing and distract the Feds from them obtaining the bioweapon...

Something will happen with Kim, and it will get to Jack that she has a daughter and he's a grandpa... then he will get the treatment somehow... oh and you know he will be killing Tony with his bare hands before the end of the season...

Of course, I could also see Jack not cured by the end of the season, and we all have to wait to next season to see what happens. of course, if the past is any indicator, next season will just start with him cured
