You're hating on Madden and Al Michaels. Who the are you?
Thank God I won't have to hear about how Madden likes to sniff Bret Farve's jock strap every Sunday nite, And his dumbass anologys of "....it's like the dish ran away with the spoon...."
but his BAM, BOOM, and POWS will be missed...
he's just getting senile..
As for Ego Al Micheals....you got to go too.....!
Just don't bring it Greg Gumble, or his FAT brother Bryan!
You're hating on Madden and Al Michaels. Who the are you?
That was pretty harsh, I'm sorry. I'm a big Madden homer. I think he is one of the greatest football minds of all time and I grew up with him every Sunday in my living room. Al Micheals, to me, is classy and a professional on and off the air. Everyone is en led to their opinion though so.
i was never a big madden fan. to me, he epitomized the strategy of broadcasting to the dumbest fan in the audience that the networks seem to adhere to.
i've played zero downs of football in the NFL and that guy is one of the greatest minds in the history of the game...and he never bothered to tell me anything that i didn't already know.
I understand what u mean but itīs the
end of a long week, tough week at work, monday night football, with the boys, or maybe ur family, got some beer, some food
do u really want him to get into the specifics into the game and talk about stuff u donīt already know, r u really watching the game for itīs education value??, I like how he keeps the game simple.
uh...yeah!!!!
why else do i need analysts? My friends and I can say "BOOM, what a hit!" or "when you're a receiver, you gotta catch the ball, because that's your job."
i never understand why some are perfectly content with getting a fan's perspective from the booth. i already have a fan's perspective from my couch (ME).
many aspects of the game are not simple. but don't worry, there's no reason to have to worry about them, because these broadcasts are for you.
YOUR MAMA!!!!!![]()
I hear what you are saying K-state, but I think alot of people appreciate Madden because of his professionalism he bought to the booth, verses some of the other idiots that banter on and on about non-football crap like we give a damn about what is on their minds. I have watched on more than one occasion those idiots from ESPN talk about the dumbest of crap while the ball is being hiked. Not saying that Madden never talked about non-related football stuff (ex:Turduckten), but when it came down to it, you never (or hardly ever) heard him and whoever he was paired with arguing about stupid crap over the air. Also I liked the fact that he never tried to be a comedian, or make the other guy sound bad over the air. And being paired with Al Michaels he had plenty of opportunities. Sometimes I wonder if those jerks from ESPN forget they are actually calling a game.
When your quarterback is over there on the sideline, and his arm is in a sling, well, you don't really want to see that. That's bad. You want your quarterback out there on the field, throwing, and when his arm is in a sling, he can't do that.
