You could try that Justin.tv thing. I know posting the link is against the rules, but the NBA should take care of their business, and as a paying customer, you have a right to see the game one way or another.

The sad thing is that some of the free streams have just as good quality as the officiall one for which I paid.. (oh and it doesnt work)

This one is somehow for the playoffs. I bought mine 4 hours ago and then watched the lst quarter of cavs vs pistons game...
Nope. International League Pass Broadband is doing playoffs too.
This is their first year ILP and they are doing the playoffs too.
It's completely different to the US version.
Started working for me again... maybe you try it in the timeout. Quality should be better than most of the streams.
