Reports of Bruce Bowen's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

    He's got this.

Exactly. And we need to make sure Dirk as to switch off on Gooden whenever they are both on the floor.

Timvp was right. Bonner will probably be pretty useless this series. By the 3rd or 4th game we will likely be down to the 3 big rotation of Duncan, Gooden and Thomas with Bonner only playing spot minutes.
why the has it taken Pop so long to figure that out. it ain't rocket science. gooden should have been taking Bonner's minutes from day 1.

This is a must win for the Spurs, we are at home and we need the confidence that we can go and win game 2,3 and 4.
you do know what a "must win" means, don't you? this is far from a must win.

Pop likes Bonner sitting out behind the arc, leaving the lane more open for Tony...but Gooden's just too damn Good.....en....to leave him out.

You experiment a lot early on in the playoffs. If he can calm his nerves, stay in front of Dirk (his foot movement in keeping up with DN has been good) and take/make some shots he should be okay. Most of that though depends on the first point.

When Pop has Mason, Finley, Bowen, Udoka, and Gooden on the court at the same time in the playoffs I want Gooden taking every shot, even if he is being triple teamed.

The offensive fluidity came to a breaknecking halt when Parker hit the bench. Not a good sign. It took Mason 15 seconds for his first two straight possessions just to get the ball into a spot to make something happen.

the thing is i feel like if bonner is bad in this series, i just can't wait till the later series, since nowitzki is more of a perimeter offensive big man, in the later series, west, nene, gasol, bynum, etc, are just gonna kill him either in the post or on the boards.

Gooden should definitely have the most plays for the bench players, but I would like to see Mason get some plays where he runs through screens off the ball..

Mason is going to shoot, you've got to live with that. I do think he has to at least attempt to get in the lane more like he did on that assist to Gooden for the dunk.

Hill would be much better at backup PG. He would be breaking down the Dallas defense like Parker.

Why would you want him to shoot shots even triple teamed when Finley is 4-6, Bowen 1-1, Mason 1-4 but 1-2 from 3 and Udoka is 1-2? Guys are hitting shots. We have 49 points on the board. The points aren't the problem. I don't think anyone expected Bass to do what he did. Gooden needs to put him on his ass when he does that if we need Gooden to do anything.
