It's not surprising the Spurs lost. They tend to lose their 1st playoff game a lot. In fact, they lost their first game in 2003, 2005, and 2007.

They won their first game in 2006, and 2008.

2004 is the anomaly since the end of the Lakers threepeat with the Spurs losing their first game and NOT winning the championship.

I actually feel more confident with the loss.

Hard to feel confident when the team shoots 11-14 from 3 point land and still loses.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Dallas shoot 55% from the field the rest of the series. I will say that the Spurs have the ability to play solid defense, they just need to man up for game 2

It's not over by any means but the Spurs made it harder than it needed to be out of the gate. They not only have to win game 2 but go down and steal game 3 or 4 in Dallas as well.

The Spurs will turn it up a notch after this loss. It's happened every time before. They lose the first game then play noticeably better. They'll win the game 2 by double digits, take game 3, and have home court again.

it's not easy to be confident when Matt Bonner starts and our perimeter stoppers are Roger Mason and Michael Finley..

It's a sad day when you're more confident in Finley's defense than you are Mason's.

I have more faith that Finley could fight through or work around a pick than Mason does. , I feel more confident that Finley could chase Terry around better than Mason did.

I'm relaxed now. Because I know we have zero chance of winning anything this year. Not with Pop as our coach.
