He'll find a way to choke and blow, away from home. He'll crack in Dallas.

I agree. His D is atrocious.

I can't stand Bonner's game. Even a blind squirel finds a nut every once in a while.

Actually, his hustle on D was really pretty good tonight. He scored (11), he rebounded some (4 offensive, 3 on D), he showed harder on the screen switches, and he closed out on shooters better. He wasn't soft tonight, either, for a change.

His D is not amazing, but it's not horrible either. He stayed in front of his guys most of the time, even on the perimeter. What more can he do? Oh, and he stuffed Bass. I think I saw him angry on the bench, so that's good: now he just needs to get angry - at the opposition - on the court, and he'll be a HOFer.

    Matt Bonner
    29 mins
    3-4 3PM/A, 2/2 FT for 11 points
    7 rebounds (4 offensive)
    1 blocked shot
    +/- of +21

showing up in the playoffs isn't like the regular season son. Every game counts.

So when a Spur has a big game from now til the end of these playoffs, whenever that may be, why don't you off and let us enjoy the performance.

Bonner has turned a corner and stepped it up another notch. By the time you turn the corner, he will be standing behind you. Scary stuff.

Bonner is the only big that the Spurs have that can shoot the three. I wish we had Horry but he's not here. Without Bonner, the spacing is horrible on the offensive end. And without Manu, he's more important than ever. He hustles his ass off. I don't understand the hate.

And thats why Bonner was 0-5 within 4 feet of the basket.
the fact he was getting shots by the basket isn't good enough for you? he's matt ing bonner, any time he's getting multiple looks around the rim, you know you're doing something right.

Thats the point. Your in the NBA and you cant hit a shot within 4 feet. Only shots 18+ feet out.

Get the out of the NBA. He is extremely lucky to be 6'10.
He can and does hit shots within 4 feet commonly. He has a pretty sweet little hook he likes to throw, he has a nice runner as well. Just stop

the guy is a third string sf starting at center, thats why we have no shot this year.
we have shot...if Pop will pull his head out of his ass and give Gooden more minutes and Bonner less (or zero).

Really? I honestly cannot remember the last time he dunked, made a runner, or even a pullup within the range of 6 feet or less.

All he has is a nice 3 point shot, and can hustle and pester players like Dirk. But please do not try to give him the attributes of a well-rounded player.

You act like the shots he was getting a pass near the rim and just missing point blank. He was getting all the way to the paint on dribble drives and pulling up over and around defenders, then tracking down his loose misses. He was actually pretty effective penetrating and he made a couple great passes out of it It was really just a little bad luck on a couple of his shots rimming out.

Overall, Bonner's defense on Dirk and others was outstanding as well. he was getting his hand in on loose balls and was getting physical and not pushed around. Obviously, he got some for those Dampier/Dirk dunks, so he answered the call for more physical play and rebounds in a big way.

To sum it up, I don't think you could ask for better basketball from the Red Rocket tonight - other than those near misses.

He could've easily gotten more rebounds, if he'll just move his feet instead of just watching the ball bounce of the rim. Two of those offensive rebounds came from his point blank missed shots with "Barea" on his face. I hate it when he doesn't give an effort to grab rebounds at least fight for it.

He's just scared Barea might block his shot.
