Hmm... Somebody's got their feathers ruffled and is losing focus and composure. Let's hope it's contagious to the rest of his team and game 3 will be so much more winable.

apparently he's never seen Tony play before. no contact has ever scared Tony away from the basket before. He was knocked to the ground a few times in the first couple games already.

Perhaps Nowitzki thought it possible to draw a shooting foul on your own team.

Anyways, Dampier's "message" fits perfectly the mentality of the D/FW football fan who watches the Mavs because "they's good." If we could only purge all of those Okies out of our state.

Who's gonna call that at the AAC?
i hope that steve javie officiates the game. he's the road team favorite because he is never intimidated by the home crowd. remember game 2 (2006) vs. mavs? people in san antonio were screaming "javie sucks" and it didn't phase him.

Considering the way its played out so far, and factoring the move to Dallas, it will be an offensive foul on Tony.
Funny. That was the first thought that popped in my mind too. Tony is going to the rack way too much to not get more time at the line.

    you're forgetting something

    its in Dallas

they're not gonna call a flagrant, maybe not even call the foul. whether or not Dampier does it or not Parker is intimidated big time

@ Parker being more cautious. He doesn't really flinch at people knocking him down.

Seriously ... this isn't anything new. People have been trying to "lay Parker out" and "punish" him for driving inside for the last couple of years now.

Whatever. He just gets right back up.

The league will now be ready for a flagrant foul call. Probably an automatic flagrant two since it's premeditated.

    Nice going, Damp.
Exactly what I was thinking. Somebody make sure the refs get this memo.

Besides, it's not like Parker isn't used to taking 150 spills a game anyways.

The only thing Dampier is going to punish is the post-game buffet.

Nice move dip . If you are going to do something like that, then just do it, don't make an announcement about it.

Is he? Didn't he get bumped by Dampier last night, followed by that Terry cheap shot? I saw him get back up and keep on attacking the basket.
And that's really the problem. Short of actually injuring the guy with a flagrant two, there's not much you can do. The only way I know you can intimidate Tony is putting an actual shot blocker near the rim. That's when he stops penetrating. But Dallas doesn't really have a guy like that.

Are you saying that because of the fact that the home team so far in this series has definitely gotten a "home court advantage" with the officiating as well? I can't even begin to count how many moving picks were set, how many times Parker and others pushed off on offense, and the way Dirk would get the mess hacked out of him and no call.

No worries though, thats the benefit of HCA, always has been, and always will be. I expect the Mavs to get some of those calls the next 2 games, and for the got Spurs fans to cry like the crybaby es they are.

What a stupid thing to say to the media.

I won't hold my breath that the refs will be watching. We probably won't get a call in Dallas.

Which is no different than the moving screens set for Nowitski or the way Duncan would get the mess hacked out of him and no call.

You called out "the got Spurs fans" for crying about the refs when you just did it too.
