My initial reaction after reading Damp's quote was to wonder why it took Tony Parker blowing up for 38 points for the Mavs' big man to decide to get physical with the Frenchman. After all, Parker averaged 31.3 points per game against the Mavs during the regular season.
Then I questioned the wisdom of publicly declaring the intent to inflict pain when Parker gets in the paint. Doesn't that significantly increase the odds that the refs will call a flagrant foul? If Dampier gets tossed, good luck defending Tim Duncan.
You have to like the fact that Damp is perturbed and plans to do something about it, but the usually quiet big man didn't choose his words very wisely.

Two very important things to consider 1st the mavs are a bunch of pussies and probly won't bother Parker and 2nd phil jackson won't be whining and stern does'nt care who wins this series so if they get dirty the refs will probly call it.
