You mean like the Spurs did last year?
Yes...that something both Texas teams may have in common.

When I first read his comments, I was like "meh", he's only repeating the popular opinion by many of the talking heads and media people.....but it is kind of tacky to say that when your team is still in the hunt and will have to face these same lakers if they prevail. He could've said it a different way-acknowledge that the Lakers are the favorites yet show support towards your team. After all, anything can happen (highly unlikely but one can never say never).

well..... hes probably right. i dont see why rocket fans are getting so butt hurt.
He couldn't even be loyal to his team when they were coming off a huge playoff win and playing great ball. Imagine if Manu did that.

This shouldn't come as a surprise. He has never shown loyalty to any team or teammates. Luckily, this is the last year it will be a concern for the Rockets.

Trade him to a team looking for an expiring contract, and get an athletic wing in return if they can find one

We all make mistakes and I think Tracy got the wrong end of the bargain. I read the quote ten times after the games and it's clearly a good quote. So you live with it. He made a crab prediction which is a hesitation prediction and then some drivel. And everybody you all guys can read it. The bad part was that he said Kobe is the toughest player to stop but at least he said I wasn't s fish.

    His pick for the le:

“Lakers. (Host: That easy, again?) It’s no knock on Cleveland, I think Cleveland’s gonna get there… Cleveland to me is really not that good. If you take what the Celtics did last year… You knew, they were either gonna get to the finals, or they were gonna win it. You can’t really say the same thing about the Cavaliers.

Although, they had the best record in the league this year, a lot of people like, ‘Okay, they havin’ a great year, but we don’t know if they can win the championship.’ They really didn’t do anything on the road with the elite teams in the league, they lost, they had a bad record when they went to face the elite teams in the league. I think they’re a good team, but I don’t they’re ready to take the next step.”
i don't get him ... first he says the cavs aren't that good, then he says they're a good team.

not only does he contradict himself, he also underrates the Cavs by just calling them good . no team that has done what they've done this year and are expected to do in the playoffs is just good . they are a great team . where's the due respect from him ?

    The toughest player to stop:

“No doubt. Kobe. No doubt. The man is just a fierce compe or, he tries to rip your heart out no matter who he plays night in and night out. ‘Bron is one of them guys, he gets buckets, but he also is an unselfish player. Kobe? Nah. He trying to take your heart. He gonna get it. And, he’s gonna shoot 30 or 35 times to get it.”
this bothers me . i remember reading an article where they asked Bruce who his toughest player to guard was, and he didn't answer . why ? because there's a possibility it can give who over it is he's guarding a mental edge . tmac has had his toughness and competiveness questioned before ... i think these comments support those claims .

as for the part where he says LA is the best team ... i don't neccessarily agree with him saying that . it can give them a mental edge . although it can be a double-edged sword - he could just be trying to goad his players, and they may very well respond in a good way . however, the tactic can backfire.

by the way ... Pop said the Lakers were the best team while he was being interviewed at halftime in the Cavs game (the last one) ... he didn't come out and say specifically that they were going to win the ring , but he implied it . if your going to criticize Tmac for his comments, maybe Pop warrants some too for saying what he said .

Tracy McGrady Is ‘Foaming At The Mouth’
    April 20, 2009 – 8:45 am by Tas Melas

Tracy McGrady might finally get out of the first round… while he’s on the injured list.

The Rockets have taken a 1-0 lead on the Blazers in the 1st round but The Mac has had season ending surgery and will enjoy his first series victory halfheartedly if it comes.

    His pick for the le:

“Lakers. (Host: That easy, again?) It’s no knock on Cleveland, I think Cleveland’s gonna get there… Cleveland to me is really not that good. Nah. He trying to take your heart. He gonna get it. And, he’s gonna shoot 30 or 35 times to get it.”
What's his prediction for whether or not he'll ever actually play a 2nd round game?
