Dropping my son off at high school this morning, I never really noticed before but almost all of the girls are sporting big breastes, when did this change? when I went to high school in the 80's only a couple girls had big juggs and they were usually big girls, now it seems like they all have bigguns, maybe it's in the baby formula or maybe just push up bras.
I went to HS in the 70's and there were plenty of big breasteses around they were just more covered up. Today's HS girls like to flaunt their stuff and it is cool and no big deal. Back in my day if a girl showed cleavage her ph# was in the boy's room by the end of the day.
I know I'm nerdifying this topic with a serious answer, but there's a minor epidemic in our country of young girls growing breasts and the theory is it's from all the hormones in our meat and milk, which end up in our water, along with birth control pills.
Or it could just be the girls are wearing water bras now.

Couple that with the lifestyle changes that have come in the last 40 or 50 years - mostly dietary. The makeup of breast tissue is mostly fat, and there's the very serious problem of children and teens becoming as overweight or obese as the adults in the country now. Today's 15-year-old girl who has 4-5% more body fat than her counterpart from the sixties will have larger boobs.
Exactly, ive noticed that too. its because of the food.
A lot of the changes are due to modern diets which lead to girls developing faster.
It's evolution with a little help from silicone.

That was my first thought, too. The average age at which girls start puberty keeps getting younger for this reason - it's not good for anyone either. The longer women are exposed to the estrogen that comes with puberty, the better the chances are for developing things like breast cancer (which is why the rates are lower for women who have given birth - nine months without menstruation and limited amounts of it while nursing).

Seriously, back in the 1970's high schoolers for the most part were bean poles. Now, most are overweight, and a large number are obese.

The hormones in the food are causing girls to start developing sooner, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're bigger. I think part of the bigger part is that the technology of bras has advanced & there are more teens allowed to shop at places like Frederick's & Victoria's Secret. So boob elevation & exposure are pretty much maximized. When I was growing up (and out) our choices were Playtex cross-your-heart or nothing, & neither of those choices added cleavage.
