after watching hill play tonight..I realized pop is a genius...no wonder he doesn't trust hill on high pressure games...the dude couldn't simply hit mid range jumpers, forget abt getting to the rim.

We look lost when the opponent makes a run and parker is out. so much for a playoff team with experience.

But I will say this...Mavs won not because they played great defense, instead they won because our offense sucked. And I also know that this is not how we play basketball and we will come back strong. Go spurs Go

George Hill ruined all credibility of him starting, or getting more minutes with his instant turnover during his first one second of playing time tonight.

Face it guys. Let's just hope Ginobili had fun losing with Argentina over the summer.
Well, he wouldn't be a Spurs backup point guard if the moron patrol weren't ready to lynch him after one turnover in a 45 point loss.

They sure blocked a lot of Parker's shots and created a lot of turnovers for a team that didn't play great defense.

You are right, but IMHO, I thought their defense looked great bcoz of the forced low % shots(except for the few layup attempts by TP). It looked as if, we all of a sudden forgot to execute. It seems to be more of a mindset issue.

Come on dude. Noone's lynching anyone, I like George Hill, but he passed it straight into Bass's hands.

    bad omen?

    mysa.com:

The Spurs are down 2-1 to Dallas in this Western Conference first-round series, put there by an unsightly 88-67 loss in Game 4 that essentially was decided at half.

keep dreaming I am. Still hoping POP will retire and we can get on with the New Spurs and put away the old spurs. We got our LES now lets do it again. We got to put in our time and give our young guys time to develop and then kick ass just like Timmy and tony did. I can wait I'm not a Band wagon..wanna be spur fan. I'm a true SPURS FAN since 77 and I always will be a Spurs Fan. Now lets look to get some more talented rookies and a True coach / someone who can use all their players not just vets who you put out there hoping they wont break down. GO SPURS GO.....

We weren't going to win with Ginobili anyway so he really shouldn't be blamed. All of this falls on the FO for not retooling the team after the '07 'ship. It's hard to compete with younger/atheltic teams when you have crap like Finley, Bonner, Udoka, Oberto, and Vaughn taking up space on the roster.

Just like the Mavs 21 point loss in game 2, it does not matter if it was by 21 or by 1, it only counts as 1 game. The series is far from over.

Game 4 is he biggest game of the series for the Spurs

Geez, by the time you scroll through all of the HUGE pics and AWFUL animations, it takes a damn hour to post anything around here.

Anyway, you've had your fun spurs, 4 championships and you were lucky enough to avoid us in the playoffs for your 4th le. That being said, your time is done and I think most of you know it.

Game 2 was about as good as it gets. Your knees are old, and Tony Parker is the only hope you got. Who will step up when Parker gets tired and pulls a game 1 performance. You have no Gin-NOSE-bili, so who takes over? Duncan? That bank shot cant work all game. Bowen is washed up, and Mason's 3's cant carry you through the series. Guy has a great shot though......

I cant wait to log on tomorrow or after game 4 and see all of your sad little posts.....

The refs will be on your side tonight, so I expect to see the most ridiculous foul calls of all time (nothing new), but that will make our win even sweeter. You CAN NOT win at the AAC.

    TC-MAVS has spoken.......

The next game is always the biggest game of the series.

It's like, for example, a in an orgy. You see, you have a , right? And then you move onto the next one, and it's bigger. And then the next one is bigger too. And then... um... I'll be back later.

The series reminds me of the Detroit/Spurs NBA championship series of a couple of years ago. We can look very bad, as we did in Detroit for games 4 and 5, and then come back and win when we have to. Yeah, we had Ginobili then, but Roger and Gooden can do the job. Our shots have to fall though. They didn't last night. Home court has it's advantages. We have to win tomorrow on their home court. We can do it.

I still think we can get past this Maverick team. They are as unpredictable as we are.

Well, the Spurs got beat soundly last night, just like they beat the Mavs on Monday night. Still counts the same whether you win or lose by 1 or 21, though. Yeah, it sucks to lose, but it's actually better to get blown out and rest your starters than to battle to the end, wear out your starters, and still lose a close one.

Last night was a missed opportunity for the Spurs, nothing more. If the Spurs had won last night, they wouldn't have to worry as much about Game 4. Now, Game 4 is a MUST WIN for the Spurs. If they lose, they're in a 3-1 hole, and pretty much done. That's why they're going to win Game 4.

    Spurs in 7.

And Finley, Parker and Mason have all made the same stupid pass this year, and it had zero impact on the outcome of the game. Hill was going to make some rookie mistakes no matter what, but perhaps he should have gotten a lot of that out of his system during the season when there were minutes for him, instead of putting him in for the first time down 25 in a road playoff game.
