a series win without their 2nd best player?pathetic
A win is a win...
Since when is Manu their 2nd best player? Did he become that when it was announced that he was done for the season?![]()
Manu has always been the 2nd best player in the playoffs. He is also the heart and soul of the team.
btw, mavs played like beasts in game 3 props. unfortunately they are the mavs, they will choke sooner or later.
The Mavs played without their best 2 players. I'd say it's even.
sure they did![]()
but now you have erika "russell" dampier and jj " isiah" barea
I don't think many Mavs fans expect them to get past the 2nd rd if they were to beat the Spurs...
That wouldn't really be choking. Losing to the Spurs after being up 2-1 would be.
the way the mavs played game 3 and even game 1. Their expectations should be to make the WC Finals and give the Lakers a fight.
What's amazing about the way the Mavs have been playing lately is they've done it without key players such as Jerry Stackhouse and Devean George. We're talking about a guy who can give you 20 points off the bench in Stackhouse, and a good defender and three point shooter in George. You really have to admire the job Carlisle and the coaching staff has done despite these injuries.
u must be drunk out of your mind.
with Stack the mavs would be in a 0-3 hole
Um, no...I think the Spurs just made them look that good...
You're welcome!![]()
u forgot about the championship experience George brings, Hubie
seeing as the Mavs are a 6 seed, even if the Spurs come back and win, the Mavs wouldnt be chokers. If they win, then the Spurs would be chokers as the 3 seed, though.
still, when my team makes the playoffs, i dont care who we beat, i just want them to win 16 games. i am not satisfied with just ending one season...I want them to end 3 seasons...and then let the 4th team watch them celebrate.
unfortunately, father time, injuries, and unfortunate roster decisions have set us back this year. i feel if the chips fall just right, we will have a very bright future.
chips: Tiago Splitter, Ian Mahimni, James, Gist, Drew Gooden, Marcus Williams, Malik Hairston, George Hill, Roger Mason, Viktor Sanikidze, Robertas Jaktovas (or is it Javtokas), and three 2nd round draft pics.......perhaps Pops Mensah Bonshu, Ime Udoka
umm ... how would the Spurs be chokers ? w/o Manu this team is arguably the worst team to make the playoffs in the west . not a lot of people, probably a majority, thought they could beat the Mavs before the series started .
the 3rd seed means nothing . it misrepresents the Spurs since they got it w/ the help of Ginobili . and the Mavs having the 6th seed actually misrepresents them because they started playing up to their potential the last few weeks of the reg. season . the way i see it is if the Mavs lose they are the chokers . well ... let me correct myself ... the Mavs are already notorious chokers , so they'd just continue being what they are .![]()
Ahahahaha...the genius of Hubie Brown.
Love your hair, man.
he always says that
Pretty much since Robinson retired, he wasn't the 2nd best player this season 'cause he played injured all season but remember that not too long ago (last season), while he was still healthy, he was the one carrying the Spurs.
Look here's an example:
Manu actually led the Spurs in scoring last season. Just as Tony did this season.
no not really lol, there is a great chance they won't win this year. If they did make it they would have to play Cavs and Cavs have Lebron. Who do the Mavs have? Dirk who is good, but not as great as Lebron![]()
that's kind of sad, but off topic for a min Mavs really remind me of the old Nets. Mavs seem like a team just happy to make it to the playoffs and not win, really they do and they haven't won anything yet and that is how the Nets were. Glad that stuff is over so we can win in the future,![]()
I'd wager Spurs video views on Youtube have gone up 1000-fold in the last 16+ hours.
