I couldn't agree more. The lack of adjustment when he was struggling was on Pop, but the whole team stepped up and Matt seemed to finally come out of the slump he's been in over the past few weeks. Hopefully it won't be an issue from here on out.

sadly, bonner is having a terrible playoffs, just like he was (mostly) ending the season.
Bonner does not appear to be the answer in the playoffs. The search continues.
In other news, Gooden has sucked the last two games.
Bench Bonner him? Cut him....
This is the most disappointing game out of Drew this season. Bonner played OK D and had some nice hustle plays, but he should have been pulled as soon as he started passing up shots in the last few minutes. You could tell he was getting scurred again.
At least Pop seemed to learn that George Hill can play in crunch time... Should help next season. (Okay, I'm looking for silver linings here, work with me...)
He missed important shots. Not good. But so did all the other 3-point shooters. Hill didn't. Funny how that works.
With better players, Bonner wouldn't start, we all know that. This Spurs team just doesn't have the depth, and that problem lies somewhere else.
How bout that Clutch rebound by Bizarro Bonner off the Finley miss?
When it looked like it was slipping away with 1:13 minutes left...and we couldn't make a shot to save our life.
Out of nowhere Bonner comes flying out of nowhere like a rebound MONSTER, he held onto the ball like Gollumand kicked it back out to George Hill to spark the 5 point swing for the Spurs....
I was like " YEAH BIZARRO BONNER"
A minute earlier he executed his plays perfectly, dribble hand offs, rotations on D, everything-- I can see what Pop sees in him, he's just a big playoff performer.

When I posted that, I was assuming he was going to be BENCHED BY GAME 2...and he'd be getting spot minutes and we would be up 2-1, or 2-2....
I assumed Pop would be wise make the in-game line up change and go with Gooden or even OBERTO to get more of his minutes to try a 2007 approach...therefore Bonner would be given time to simmer and reflect on how much he SUCKS.

Any team that has Bonner as a starter is a team.
to all you people who argue that bonner should be getting minutes since gooden is sucking more... do you realize that gooden's is in a much tougher situation to contribute than compared to bonner. the thing that pisses me off the most about bonner is that:
he gets plenty of playing time, at least 25 mpg, a good enough time to get your rhythm, compared to drew who comes off the bench and only play 10 mpg, and yet he still had two 0 points game, and one 2 point game.. And even with that disparity in minutes, i still see drew as being more effective than bonner. I CAN GUARANTEE ALL YOU BONNER LOVERS OUT THERE THAT IF GOODEN GETS BONNER'S MINUTE, HE WOULD BE TWICE AS EFFECTIVE.
