i dun care what y'all say
    this loss is on pop.
hez stupid enough to let mason play PG at the end of 1st to lose the 9 point lead
n itz him to keep playin finley in the 3rd n giving 13 points or something to Josh Howard
he finally started to lighten up a bit when he played hill but he kept Matt the choker Bonner and Michael the brick machine Finley on the court at the same time.
i dun care that Finley had a baseline dunk cuz hez playin like a granny

Bonner needs to be cut. I don't know how we won a championship with this guy on our roster.
because he was on the bench

    Our best 5?:

    Parker
    Hill
    Bowen
    Duncan
    Gooden
This was what I wanted to see end the 4th with. No, instead Pop insists on having Bonner and Finely out there to force up bad 3's

Where the was Roger Mason at the end of the game, Pop? He's our clutchest and best 3-Point shooter and you bench him? How many clutch plays has he had this season? You play Matt Bonner? What the was with this coaching!!! 3-Point plays with 2 minutes still left to go? You gotta be kidding me. Pop thinks hes too smart for obvious ing moves like benching Bonner or playing Roger Mason. I can't believe it. The only players who the Spurs need to keep this offseason are Parker, Duncan, Manu, Mason, Hill, and Gooden. Everyone else can go. It's ridiculous.

With all that said, maybe if some players can hit OPEN shots, we can still win this one.

And playing George Hill this late in the series is just pathetic. George Hill matches up perfectly with Dallas. Long-wingspan that can defend those two-guards like Barea perfectly with Parker still in the game. I just can't believe Pop. Bonner missed at least two 3's at the end of the game, and that bone-headed foul. And there was multiple times throughout the game, when he thought he was Dirk and did a step back two. Like honestly?

It ain't over 'till it's over.

    Relax Guys
It's over. What makes you think Pop is going to change the very last game of the season? He has been a coach the entire year. Bonner is what he is, a scrub. So is Finely, so is Udoka, so is Oberto, KT, and JV. That's almost the entire team. As great as Tim and Tony are, they can't carry these guys. Not when Duncan is injured and Tony is exhausted. Our big three mask just how terrible these guys are, because we do have an amazing trio of players. Bruce is great, but he's not a scorer, and we lost our come from behind threat in Horry. Mason shows flashes, but he's being misused and sucks ass coming off the bench. This series is over. If the spurs come back and win, I'll happily eat crow, be called a bandwagon fan, or whatever. But it's not happening.

    Nice call regarding Hill, Pop.

Bull . That was just a desperation move. Turned out great, yes, but it really seemed like Pop pulled that what one out just because he had no idea what else to do.

it shouldn't even come down to manu being in, , thanks mason. bonner-nothing needs to be said and finley , if he wouldn't hit a couple of crucial shots here and there, there wouldn't be any legit reason to keep him a game. it's a catch 22 with his ass.

probably is spurs are made up of tim/tony and 2nd-3rd tier guys

Pop should've never had Bonner in the game. And I'm pretty sure Bonner or Finely didn't take those 3's because they felt like it, but rather Pop wanted a 3 on that particular play with plenty of time still remaining. Mason should've been in the game in the last few minutes. He's been clutch all season-long, but when it comes to the playoffs, you bench him during clutch time. Doesn't make sense at all. It seems like Pop punishes his best players and applauds his worst players by putting Bonner and Finely in and taking Bowen and Mason out.

That 3-point 2 minute drill was the dumbest thing I've ever seen from a pro coach. Is he tired does he want to go home?

Mason is just horrible now... He cant shoot and he cant play defense. Him playing backup pg has been such a huge mistake from pop and it has totally taken him out of his game. Its too late to get him back to playing how he used to so in my opinion spurs should just keep him on the bench and give hill and bowen his minutes.

You guys are re ed. Quit whining about our bench. Just because we don't have a bench with Manu on it anymore, doesn't mean it sucks and is the ONLY reason we lost. New Orleans has a crappy bench if you want examples of what one looks like. It's not the bench's fault Tim Duncan missed so many free throws.

I do think we went for the 3-pointers way too soon near the end but if you really look past that we lost for the following reasons.

    1) Parker missed both of his free throws after his steal with a few minutes left.

    2) On Finley's first 3-pointer around a minute or so, Tim Duncan was WIDE OPEN under the basket but Finley shot it anyways. You could actually see Tim Duncan stand there with his arms out in disbelief instead of trying to go for the rebound.

    3) AS A TEAM, we did a horrible job of getting back on defense after the 3-point misses. It was as if missing those 3's caused the team to lose hope when they still had the game if they would have just gotten a few more stops. Instead, they play halfhearted D and let the Mavs dominate them on Defense.

You can complain all you want about our offensive shortcomings in the end, but honestly our Defense in the last 3 minutes cost us more than all the missed 3's we had.

The things I'll miss the most about the 2009 season after the Spurs are eliminated:

    1. Timmy's incredulous, disbelieving, astounded expressions when the officials have the audacity to call a foul on him.

    2. Cut-away shots of poor Manu on the bench.

    3. Watching Finley not play defense.

    4. Bonner's bricks.

Who is this dude Matt Boner? How is he starting for an NBA playoff team? He looks like Herman Munster (without the moves.)

All I can say is happens. At least now all the bandwagoners jumped ship and there's always next year. Even if the mavs manage to finish us off I HEAVILLY doubt they'll get past round 2. But then again this seasons been full of suprises.

I'll root for any team that can beat the Lakers.

Even if it is the Mavs....

I came to the sad realization during game 3 that I hate the Lakers, more than I love the Spurs.

    That's just ing wrong!
